Luke considered running after her, but thought against it. He didn't know why Dahlia suddenly got up and left, but he thought she probably wanted to be alone.
After about ten minutes he finally decided to go and find her. He knew he should have let her come back on her own, but it was dark outside and he was worried about her. He knew exactly where she would be.
Everyone had gone home. They were the only two people on the beach. He saw Dahlia sitting there under the palm tree looking up at the stars.
Luke slowly walked over to her. As he got closer, he knew she saw him, but she just kept looking up.
"Hey", he said, sitting down next to her.
"Hi", she replied.
"Why'd you run away?", Luke asked.
Dahlia didn't know what to tell him. "I just needed some time to think."
As they sat in silence, Luke thought about how much he loved being here, Looking at the stars, hearing the waves crash against the shore. Then he realized how much better it was when she was there with him.
He hated keeping secrets from her, and he really did want to tell her, but he was afraid. Afraid that she didn't feel the same way and he would ruin everything.
So right now, he was content with just being her friend. But as he looked at her, her brown hair blowing in the wind, the moonlight illuminating her skin, he realized just how much he wanted her.
"What?", Dahlia asked, once she realized Luke was looking at her.
Luke didn't say anything, he brought his hand up to her face and ran his thumb along her cheek. Dahlia felt her heartbeat increase as she looked into his eyes.
Just do it. Now's your chance, Luke thought.
Don't do it, Dahlia, she thought. Don't mess it up.
They were inches away from each other, but Dahlia was too afraid to close the gap between them.
She was about to turn away when she was caught off guard by the feeling of Luke's lips against her own.
As he slowly pulled away, Dahlia looked at him in disbelief before gaining enough courage to lean in for another kiss.
She felt the butterflies in her stomach grow more and more restless when their lips touched for the second time.
Maybe time stopped, maybe it didn't, but to Luke, the only thing that mattered was Dahlia. His hands traveled behind her back so he could pull her in and kiss her harder.
Dahlia had so many questions, so many things she wanted to say, but she was so spellbound, she didn't even care. She never wanted it to end. She'd never been kissed like that before.
Suddenly, the two were pulled apart by a voice behind them.
"What the fuck happened?"

A/N: It finally happened people. This really short chapter literally took me 5 hours to write because I'm terrible at writing this kind of stuff. But sorry for the extremely long slow burn...on another note, I just had some really good steak : )

Fiksi PenggemarEver since her mom died, Dahlia hasn't been able to play any music, let alone look at it. Who knew that it would take three dead dudes from a 90s rock band to bring her out of her shell. (I do not own the JATP characters)
