Quinn
I must have dozed off since a warm hand caressing my face and a finger running over my lips jerks me to attention. My eyes blink open as I search for the source of the hand and land thankfully on Gunner.
"What's wrong?" I ask looking around and noticing that the van was gone along with Doc.
"Nothin. It's time to go home." Gunner assures me before I let him help me stand.
I go to hand him his leather jacket back, but he just takes it and pulls it around me.
"You look cold." Is all he says before gripping my hand in his and helping me over to his bike.
I'd stopped moving and now my pain seems to be sneaking up on me. My shoulders and arms hurt along with my legs and lungs. Everything felt about as good as my back did, and at this point I just wanted something to knock me out until I'm healed.
"I should have had the prospect take you back after you got your bit of anger out." Gunner sounded like he was talking more to himself than me, but I respond all the same.
"I'm all good Gun." I assure him as he slides on his bike bringing him nearly to my height, just about an inch shorter than me while he is sitting down.
He still looks so tired. Stepping forward I cup his face in my hands and run my thumbs softly along his cheek bones. Gunners eyes flutter shut, and I take the time to appreciate how handsome he really is without his guard up.
"I'm jealous of your eyelashes." I comment making a low chuckle wash over me.
"What?" He laughs out as his hands move to rest on my hips.
"You have eyelashes every woman dreams of. They're long and full and stuff."
Gunners just continues to laugh at me, but I couldn't make myself feel embarrassed around him. Instead I found myself laughing with him. Leaning forward I rest my forehead against his as he hugs me closer to him.
"I think you're the only woman to ever compliment me on my eyelashes before." The side of his lips are lifted in a crooked smile as his eyes bore into mine.
He has the kindest eyes. You'd never expect to see such a gentle soul caged in a man capable of doing terrible things to protect his club and family. Even with the face he puts up in order to run his club, his eyes told me more about him then his actions ever could.
"They must get caught up on all your other distracting features."
I'm aware of the fact that I'm being a complete flirt, but I don't care. Gunner made flirting easy.
"Hmm. I suppose they do."
Now that makes me laugh and smack his chest lightly. "You're such a nerd."
All he does is shrug while keeping that crooked smile on his face as he watches me. "You ready to get going little darlin?"
Sighing I nod as he helps me slide on in front of him again. I can't complain about riding in front, and I don't think Gunner was complaining about it either because of certain reasons. Rather large and hard reasons.

When we got back to the compound I notice the van isn't anywhere in sight. I should have stayed awake to see or at least hear what happened to those two fuckers. As a human you'd think I'd have had some sort of guilt for them being dead, but I felt nothing towards Shawn and Roy. If anything it was more relief.
"Hey Gun?" We're sitting in the empty bar. He wanted me to head on to bed without him, but I didn't want to lose sight of him just yet. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that he saved me from that fucking place.
