Gunner
I stare at the girl wondering what the hell I'm supposed to do with her. Of course Gretta had to pick me up another charity case.
"I really don't need any help. I just need a ride back to town and I'll be okay." She says quietly.
This surprises me. She's standing in my club and Gretta says she needs help. But she is denying it.
"How far out of town was she?" I ask turning my attention to Gretta.
"Ten miles." Gretta says.
"Alright. You're staying here until I get this sorted out." I says leaning on my hands.
"No. It's fine." The girl says.
It dawns on me that I don't know what her name is.
"What's your name?" I ask. I have never been one to beat around the bush.
"Oh ahh Quinn." She stutters out like she just gave out classified information.
"Well then, Quinn. If you were ten miles from town they will be searching at least that far out." I inform her and she slowly nods.
"But I wasn't just ten miles from where I was being held." She says with a little more confidence.
"What do you mean?"
"I ran at least six miles, maybe more." She says slowly.

"This is your room." I say opening one of the doors in the other hall of rooms. My room, office and the church are all in my hallway. The rest of the guys either have their own houses else where or sleep in their rooms here.
"Really I can just get out of your hair. I don't want to intrude." Quinn says looking at me with remorse etched in her soft angelic features.
"It's fine." I say trying not to snap at her.
It's been a shit day already and I don't need more people to protect once all shit breaks loose.
"Bathroom is over there. I'll have someone go with you to pick some clothes up in town tomorrow." I toss her one of my shirts and a pair of my smaller boxers which she catches looking down at them, then at me in question.
"You need something to sleep in and I figured you would want a shower." I say glancing away not sure what to say. I don't really talk to women besides talking them up, having my way with them, then leaving them after one night.
"Thank you Gunner." She says smiling at me then wincing slightly from the cut on her cheek.
"I'll have doc come in after you shower if you want. I'll umm wait out here for you."
"It's okay." She says but winces as she begins to walk, and there is a slight wheezing coming from her.
"I'm calling Doc." I say. God she's a stubborn ass.
Which speaking of an ass, those spandex are doing her Justice in that department. God damn.
"I don't do doctors." She says quietly glancing over her shoulder at me.
"Docs not technically a doctor."
She narrows her grey eyes on me before shaking her head and walking into the bathroom.
I hear the shower running and go sit on the bed pulling my phone out of my jeans pocket.
"What?" Doc asks into the phone.
"I got someone here that needs to be looked over. Get here asap."
"I'm busy." He says.
Rolling my eyes I shake my head. Damn little brothers.
