Chapter 6

Class was finally over and I looked at the clocked. I had a little time to go home and change before going to Connors. I grabbed my books and head out. I felt a buzz from my phone. I got into my car and then looked at the message. I felt cold chills come down my spine. And felt sick. It was Ray.

Ray: Lily, I am so sorry for what happened I never wanted to hurt you. I changed I promise, I have for you. Please call me back.

I deleted the message and put my phone down. "No, not again. And how did he get my number?" I took a few breaths and then started my way to the house to change. I needed to get him off my mind so going to Connor's was going to help. I Finally made it to Connor's after stopping to changing . I got out and walked up to his door. I was nervous but excited I fixed my hair taking my hands through my hair and then went into his building. I texted Connor to inform him I was here and he told me what floor. My heart was beating so fast and hard that I felt would come out of my chest if it could. I got to his door and knocked. A few seconds passed and then I herd the door unlocked then open. "Hey," He said with a smile. I smiled back and then walked in.

"I hope it's ok that I'm here a little early?" I asked turning around looking at him. He smile "A course it is. You can help me make the food." I smiled and walked behind him. The kitchen was huge and beautiful. I walked up to the island and saw he had some vegies and some meat ready to be cut up. "You can cut the vegies. I'll start getting the meat cooking." I grabbed the knife and start chopping the onions, green and red peppers, and green beans. Connor reach over me and grabbed the wine and as he did he kissed my check. I felt my self blushing. I looked away but Connor stopped me. "Your cute when you blush." He had this sweet and soft voice. As I laid the knife down we began to kiss.

After a few minutes I backed up and smiled. "Lets not burn the food on the first actual date." He looked at me and smiled. "Agreed." He grabbed the wine again and turn back to the stove. I felt at home with him , like I belonged. I didn't feel this way with Ray. I was calm , relax and safe. Connor was sweet and caring. I looked over to him as he was finishing cooking. I gave him the veggies and sat at the island.  I watched as he cooked.

Finally the food was finished and we both went to the table. It was beautiful. Our plates was made, our glasses filled with wine, and candles in the middle. We both sat in our chairs. I smiled at the table and then I saw him smile back. "Looks amazing Connor." We both took sips of the wine and a few bites of the food. "So Lily. How has school been?" I smiled because he was doing the small talk and that meant he was nervous. "What?" He asked a little taken back. "Oh nothing, It's  just well, cute that your still nervous even when we both have eaten together and hangout more." He smiled and laughed a little

After talking for an hour and we finished eating. "Everything was great Connor." I smiled four hours had passed and I was needing to get home. "Glad you came to help." He said with a smile. He walked to the door and opened it. "See you tomorrow D.Rhodes" I smiled the last part. He smiled and grabbed my arm and pulled me in and kissed me.
