Chapter 18

A few days had past since Jay and I met up. I was still upset with him and handing spoken to him yet. I was shocked what he said about dad since he hadn't even reached out to me. Will came back over after trying to explain Jays reasoning to keep pushing this. I understood but he was taking it to far and wasn't supposed to.

"Lily you ready?" I felt Connor place his hand on my shoulder which snapped me out of my thoughts. "Oh yeah, sorry I'm ready." I got up and went to out my shoes on. It was time for me to go back to the hospital and get a check up. I walked out of the room looking at Connor and then grabbed my bag. "Ok" we walked out and to his car. After an hour we made it to the hospital and we both got out of the car. We walked up to the door and we both walked in the main entrance. It was a lot peaceful then walking into the ED.

Connor had to check on a few things and I went to see Ms.Goodwin. I decided I wanted to get back to work even though I was still healing But I can't just wait at home. I walked to the elevator and bush the button for the 4th floor. I got to her door and knocked. "Come in." I herd and open the door.
"Oh, hello Lily. How are you feeling?" I smiled at her and sat in the chair facing her. "I'm getting better. And starting to feel a lot better actually." She smiled glad I was doing better and then asked the obvious question. "Okay Lily, what are you doing? Must be a reason you came to see me and with out Dr.Rhodes." I took a deep breath and looked at Ms.Goodwin. "I want to come back to work." She says straight in her chair shocked that I asked to come back so soon. "Lily Have you talked to someone about the incident?"

I was a little taken back when she asked that. The incident wouldn't affect my job and it had been a month. "No wasn't planning on it." She placed her hands on her desk and looked at me. "Lily, I'm ok with you coming back only doing desk work until your fully healed and then you can start your nursing job. But while doing desk work I want you to see someone. That being Dr.Charles or even Dr.Reese. Or if you want someone that your not that close with."

I never wanted to talk with someone and I was never planning to do that. "Ok I'll go ask." I smiled I got up from the chair and walked to the door. "See you tomorrow Lily." I walked out and closed the door. I decided to go look for Connor and get some lunch. "Lily?" I looked back and see Will coming up to me. "What are you doing here?" I remembered my check up that I had missed. "Oh, umm I had a check up today." He gave me a look and the I remember I was still on Ms.Goodwin floor. "I dad to see Ms. Goodwin once I left." He smiled and then looked at me. "What did you have to see Ms.Goodwin for?"  He wasn't going to like my answer but I went on and told him. "I want to come back to work."

Will wasn't to place that I wanted to come back this quickly after I had just gotten out of the hospital. But the incident was a month ago. And I really wanted to go back to the way it was before. Forget this had ever happened.
"Will I need normal, and staying at Connor's it's helping. I want to go back to work." Will didn't say anything else since I wouldn't let him. I hated how he always tries to control everything. "I understand Lily but I still think it's to soon." We agree to disagree and I went to find Connor.

"You ready to get some food?" He had just finished checking on his patients and we were ready to leave. "How did your appointment go?" I looked up at him and said. "Yeah, it was good." Hating myself a little for lying. "Let go eat." He said putting his arm around my neck and kissed smiling.
