Chapter 28

My heart dropped when he said that. I grabbed my things and we all ran to the elevator. The elevator was taking to long and I was getting irritated. I looked at the stairs door and ran to them. "Lily!" Was the only thing I herd when before the door closed behind me. finally coming to the ED floor I open the door and see Will running to dad's room. "What happened?" Jay and Will was arguing and then Jay got ahold of Will and they started to fight. "Hey, Hey!" Maggie yelled. Connor walked in and Will told him what happened. Dr. Abrams conformed that dad is brain dead. Jay stormed out and left, I walked over to my father. I felt my chest tightened, it was getting harder to breath and I started to feel lightheaded. " Lily?" Connor said walking over to me. Will grabbed me then everything went black.

"Lily, Lily" I woke up with Will and Jay standing around me. "What happened?" I asked seeing I had a IV in my arm. Ms.Goodwin walked in and so did Connor. "You fainted." Connor said walking next to me taking my hand. Jay and Will looked upset and then I remembered. I started to cry again and Jay came to me and hugged me. I pushed Jay away and started to take the IV out. "Lily." Connor said stopping me. "I need to get out, I can't stay here." Jay walked up to me and helped me get my shoes on. "Take me home." Jay and Will knew I moved in with Connor. Jay nod and we walked out of the room. Maggie and April were looking at me as I was leaving. April came up to me and she hugged me. "Let us know if you need anything."

I got into Jays car and he took me to Connor's place. The ride was quite and short. He pulled into the parking spot and we both got out. We get to the door and I remembered I had gotten a key. I open the door and I walked to the living room. Jay walked over and sat down. "Is he really gone?" Jay didn't say anything just brought me in to a hug. "He can't be gone Jay, he just can't be." I started to cry again. I told my father the truth but I will never know if he forgave me or finally understood why I left and finally came home , and that was my fault.

That night Jay left and Maggie and April and Natalie was over. Connor had called them to come over. We were sitting on the couch talking drinking wine and eating pizza. Connor had left so we could have a girls night. For those four hours I had forgotten everything, I had forgotten my past, what happened with dad, what happed happened today. "So when are you going to make this your home too?" Natalie asked taking a sip of wine. "What you mean?" I questioned confused. "You know make more like your place as well. I know this is all Connor stuff." We laughed and agreed it definitely needed a woman's touch. I grabbed another glass and before I knew it I was on the floor after falling. The other stopped talking and looked at me. "Oh my gosh!" I said laughing hysterically. The others started next and before we knew we all couldn't stop laughing.

It was 1 in the morning and April was the last to leave. Connor came up to me as I was sitting on the couch taking my last sip of wine. I grabbed another slice of cheese pizza and took a bit and place it back. I went to pour more wine. "Here love." Connor took my glass and gave me some water. "I think it's time for bed." He helps me up and takes me to his bed. He placed me on the bed and takes off my shirt and pants. Places one of his t-shirts on me and then places my legs under the sheets. "I screw up Connor. I should have told him sooner. I'm a terrible daughter." Connor hugged me but I pushed him away. "No Connor I screw everything up." He pulls me back to him we struggle for a few minutes. But then I give in. "Your not a terrible daughter. You had and have your reasons. Let's finish this conversation later when your not drunk." I rolled over and watched him get into bed. I turn around my back facing him. He wrapped his arm around me to hold me. "Try to get some rest."
