AN: Hey, guys! I hope you've enjoyed the story so far! I just wanted to let you know that I have written the end to this whole story and know some events that will happen before the end of the story so never give up on the fact that I will update even if I don't update for YEARS. I will finish this story! I REEEAAALLY need advice on Chloe's deaths so I can stay true to the fact that each one is more painful than the last! This is the last chapter that I wrote on Fanfiction.net so from now on updates might be a bit slower. I will try to update on weekends though. Disclaimer applies!
Chloe's POV:
Amy parks the car and Alek immediately jumps out of the car without opening his door. He runs to the building with the speed of lightning. I look at Amy and she's overly calm. "Wow. Mai can run really fast." I get out of the car and run after Alek with Amy close behind me. "Chloe, slow down!" I slow my pace so it's right at the border of being inhumanly fast, but Amy is able to keep up now. We finally reach the top floor and I walk towards the open door. I figure Alek left it open, but my Mai senses force me to listen for danger. "You know just because she doesn't get an empathy hit off everyone she meets doesn't mean they pose a threat, right?" I walk inside after hearing that and walk past Alek. Jasmine has a great point. Henry is probably a good guy. We're paranoid because of Zane. I'm about to go get a snack when I hear Alek talk to me. "Chlo, get packed." I turn around to look at Alek and know that he's going to hate the next words out of my mouth. "I trust Henry. Jasmine is right. He probably isn't a threat." Alek swears under his breath and goes in his room. I sigh and turn to Jasmine and Amy. "I knew he would react like that." Jasmine walks up to me and awkwardly rubs the top of my arm. I know she's trying to comfort me, but is really bad at stuff like this. I smile reassuringly and she smiles back before taking back her hand. "He just really loves you. I would probably react the same way." I nod and am about to answer when my stomach growls. Amy and Jasmine laugh and head to the kitchen. I follow them and when I get there Amy is already making sandwiches for all of us. Jasmine is getting out pickles to go with our sandwiches and I go to the living room.
I know Jasmine will hear me so I don't bother raising my voice. "What movie do you want to watch?" I hear Amy and Jasmine talking about it and then stop talking. "Scream marathon. We have all the movies." I look around and gather all the movies. Jasmine walks in with a tray full of drinks and Amy walks in with a tray full of food. After eating and watching A Cinderella Story we turn out all the lights in the house and settle down for our marathon. The first loud scream makes me realize that Alek is sleeping and is probably awake now. About two minutes later I become aware of a calmer heartbeat and turn around to see Alek looking at me. I smile at him when I see the amusement in his eyes. "Alek, come snuggle with me." Alek simply shakes his head and leaves the room. I sigh and try to focus on the movies. I just can't and suddenly the lights are back on and Amy is getting up to leave. She goes to my room and packs my stuff for a sleepover. "What are you doing?" Amy looks up at me with her hand above my bag. The toothbrush she was about to drop stays in her hand. "I still want you to sleep over. Plus, Paul and I got in a fight over text while we were watching the third movie." I smile sympathetically and nod. "I'm going to go see Alek while you get my stuff together." She smiles knowingly and motions for me to leave. I walk to Alek's room and slowly open the door. He's laying on his side facing the wall. I slowly walk over to him, climb on the bed, put my arm around his hard stomach, and press my body against his back. He doesn't react at all and I internally scream at him. I don't though because I know he is just scared for me. "Alek? I'm gonna go with Amy. I love you." I hear and feel him sigh and he finally turns over to face me. I don't know how I resist the urge to kiss him, but I do even though I want to as I see the same thought in his eyes. He finally says something that is music to my ears. "I love you, Chlo." I smile and don't resist the urge to brush my lips against his. The softness of his lips makes me want more, but he kisses me again and groans as he cups my neck in his hand. He kisses me passionately and I return the passion. I know if I don't stop now I'll end up staying in his arms all night just talking and kissing. We might fall asleep, but I'm never tired with him at my side. I pull away first reluctantly and smile. "I need to go." He sits up and just stares at me lovingly. I know he's gonna try to talk me out of leaving. "Do you really want to?" I sit up and before I headbutt him he moves. "I have to, but I don't want to. Are you going to guard me tonight from Amy's roof?" He nods and smirks as I feel a hand run over my stomach. The room gets hotter and I can't think. "Maybe we can have a little make out session up there later." I blink as I feel his hand leave my body and he genuinely smiles. "Ummm..." I shake my head to make myself think straight. "ALEK PETROV, ARE YOU CRAZY?!" I run out of his room to the sound of laughter.
