AN: I am sorry about that last chapter! I know it sucked, but I didn't know what else to say for it! It was very...to the point! I am so sorry for the pain this chapter will cause you all! It had to be done! Disclaimer applies!

Chloe's POV:

I pull away from Amy and look at Alek. He's staring into space like a real cat. The look on his face makes me realize that he's beating himself up for something. I gently caress his cheeks and that snaps him back to reality. He smiles as he looks down at me. I feel his arms snake around my waist and every part of my body connects with him for a minute. "I love you, Alek." He smiles and kisses my forehead. "I love you, too, Chloe King. Let's go do something!" I smile as I think of the possibilities. "What do you want to do?" He sighs and looks to Amy. "Do you think Paul, Kai, Jane, Jasmine, and Luke would want to go rollerskating?" I hear the distinct sound of Amy squealing and her footsteps quickly exiting the building. The second Amy is out of the door I feel Alek's lips on mine. This kiss is filled with hunger and I find my hands straying to his belt. He pulls away and I see his Adam's apple bob up and down. "Chloe, are you sure?" I nod and he picks me up. My legs snake around his waist and we make our way to his bedroom. He locks the door behind us and we get lost in each other.

"Chloe, we need to get dressed." I shake my head as much as I can with my head on his chest. "No. Amy is good at getting distracted. We probably have another 20 minutes. Plus, I sent her on a goose chase." I pull out my phone to show him a text I sent her. "You sent her to the mall to find you a pair of roller skates you've been wanting?" I nod. "The thing is that I never mentioned which store..." I bring my face closer to his as I talk. I hope I entice him to stay here. "Wh-when d-d-d-did you find time to t-t-text her?" I smirk as he stutters. "While you went to the bathroom." He smiles and cups my cheek in his hand. We start kissing again, but a knock at the door stops us. "Alek, it's Jasmine." We get up and start dressing. "Luke is here, too." We dress even faster and I hide while he opens the door. "Amy told..." Jasmine's voice fades away and I wince. It's obvious he was having sex with someone. "Hey, Chloe! Come out!" I step out of the bathroom and Alek is as red as a tomato. I'd laugh if I wasn't scared of Jasmine's reaction. I finally look at her and her face stays calm for about two seconds before she turns into the Cheshire Cat. "Finally! Gosh! The tension has been over the roof!" My mouth literally falls open and Alek just blinks. "You're not mad?" Jasmine shakes her head. "Hey! We're all technically adults here. I-" At that moment, Amy and Paul get framed by the door. "I couldn't find those stup-OH!" This time I turn into a tomato.

"How was it?" I turn away from the skating rink to face Amy. "I'm not telling you here!" I  have to shout over the noise from the surprisingly busy skating rink. It's not like it's the weekend. Why are there so many people? "UGH! Fine! You're telling me everything later though." I'm about to respond, but I'm suddenly swooped out of my chair. Alek's scent fills my nose and I relax into him. Alek is told to put me down after a minute. We skate and hold hands for a while. "Are you ready to go back to the penthouse? Kai and Jane already left." I look around and only see Amy, Paul, Jasmine, and Luke. They're at our table eating pizza. "Let's skate a minute more and let them finish their pizza." He nods and we skate a few more laps. When we get to the table everyone is already in their normal shoes again. The drive back to the penthouse is a sleepy blur. Alek carries me to the penthouse and plops me on the couch. I pull him down with me and fall asleep to him singing a song in my ear.

"Chloe, wake up. Wake up please! Where's Alek?" I open my eyes to Jasmine standing over me and bright sunlight streaming into the room. I look behind me and realize I'm the only one on the couch. I get up and look around. Luke, Kai, Jane, Amy, and Paul are standing around talking. "You didn't see Alek leave?" I shake my head and instantly everyone in the room breaks into couples. They seem to have planned this because Kai pulls me over to him. "You're with us." I nod. I can't seem to speak. Where is he? Why did he just disappear? We head to the park and I finally find my voice. I yell Alek's name over and over. I'm about to give up when I see something that makes my blood run cold. I run over to a very pale Alek and fall to my knees. I focus my hearing on his heart and there's nothing. "No! No! No! Alek, please! You can't leave me! Not after yesterday!" I stroke his cheek as I feel my heart being crushed inside my chest. Why, Bastet? What does this accomplish? I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see Kai looking down at me. The look on his face pushes me over the edge and I weep hysterically. "Kai, why did this happen?" He kneels next to me and shakes his head. "I don't know, Chloe."

AN: This broke my heart as I wrote it, but it's necessary. I promise.
