May 2003

The first signs of their relationship cracking, neither of them had noticed until it was too late.

Belle shied away as Alytain tried to kiss her goodbye.

Alytain didn't say anything as he held his daughter tight in his arms "Daddy will be back very soon, but you need to stay with mummy, okay?"

"Kay." Meredith didn't want to let go.

Harley watched the interaction between his sister and dad, he didn't care that his dad was about to go on tour for the first time since Meredith's birth.

"Meri, sweetie. Please, daddy has to go."

"No."

"Belle."

Belle sighed "Sweetie, Daddy will bring you back something from every country he visits."

"I want to go" Meredith latched as tight as she could onto Alytain.

Belle looked up at Alytain.

"No." Alytain knew that look and he knew he didn't want to lose this battle.

"You better make that promise to her." Belle sighed.

Alytain managed to drop down to his knees, letting his daughter's feet hit the ground "When I meet you guys in Australia, I'll let you come to every show with me. I'll let you play on stage."

Meredith watched her dad easily lie to her "You promise?"

"Promise."

Alytain reached out his pinkie.

Meredith wrapped her pinkie around Alytain's "Bye daddy." She kissed his cheek before letting go off him.

Belle wrapped her free arm around Meredith as the three of them watched Alytain step into the back of his limousine.
