Hannah sat alone in her hospital room; she was thankful the twins weren't in her room. She was most thankful that Channing had stepped out to get Bill and her kids.

She swallowed hard as she hit post button on her phone screen, she closed her eyes for a moment.

The first phone call.

"Belle!? Sweetie!? Where are you!? Why didn't you tell me!? Are you okay!? Can I see the twins!?"

Hannah could hear it in Alytain's voice, she had broken his heart.

She forced herself to let pain shoot through her tone "I'm sorry, baby." She cried "I'm so sorry. There was nothing they could do."

"Where are you!?"

"I'm fine. Dad's with me." She lied again.

"We have to organise something. Can I see the twins? Can we bury them?"

Hannah broke down crying.

"Belle."

"I don't want..." She trailed off. Lying about her twins was causing her true pain, she was no longer faking it.

"Tell me, where you are."

Hannah could hear it in Alytain's voice, he was in pain. She knew lying to him was the cruellest thing she could do; she knew lying to him about the twins was the cruellest thing she could do but she had no choice. She had no choice but the to lie to Alytain, she had no choice but to tell him that the twins died, she had no choice but to allow this lie to fester between the two of them.
