Chapter Sixty-Three

Hannah was thankful her kids weren't present to see her put on the cruellest performance of her lifetime, she was thankful she didn't have the twins in the room when she put on the cruellest performance of her lifetime, she was thankful her dad wasn't within listening distance as she put on the cruellest performance of her lifetime. She knew it was all over the media now. She knew, she just knew.

Hannah put her phone on silent before facing the screen upside. She didn't want to deal with the lie she had created as her twins were wheeled into her room.

She looked up at them bundled tight in their blankets, she looked up them as they laid wide awake in their hospital cribs.

"Thank you." Hannah smiled a little.

The nurse nodded slightly before walking out of the room.

Hannah carefully stepped out of the hospital bed, she stepped over to the twins. She ran both her index fingers down the cheeks of the twins "Forgive me." She whispered "Forgive me for all the trouble I've caused. Forgive me for everything that you'll grow up hearing. Forgive me for having a mother like me." She whispered "Please know I did what I did to protect the two of you. Forgive me for the lies that will come undone. Forgive me for not telling the truth."

She leant down and kissed the baby girl's forehead before kissing the baby boy's forehead.

She heard a knock on the hospital room, Hannah swiftly turned around.

"Mum!"

"Shh." Hannah hushed her daughter as Meredith ran into the room "Careful." She spoke as Meredith hugged her mother.

"Is that them?" Meredith's eyes widen.

Hannah nodded.

"They're so tiny."

"You once were as well." Hannah loved that her daughter kept her arms around Hannah's waist.

Hannah felt Channing kiss her cheek, she noticed Harley stop by her side.

"Congratulations, sweetheart."

"Thanks dad." Hannah looked up at her dad.

"No names?" Bill realised both the name cards of the babies have Baby Winchester written on them.

Hannah shook her head "Struggling to come up with names." She carefully pulled Meredith's arms away before sitting down on her bed.

"Maybe Channing has some suggestions?"

Channing shook his head "Struggling just as much as Han." He positioned himself next to her.

"Maybe if you or the kids have suggestions?" Hannah watched as Harley pulled out his camera "Remember, no flash. Harley."

Harley nodded before adjusting the settings on his camera, he began to take photos of the twins.

Bill watched his four grandchildren, he watched as Meredith let her baby brother wrap his tiny hands around her finger, he watched as Harley smiled at his three siblings.

Hannah noticed a different side to her now thirteen year old son.

"James." Harley whispered.

The three adults shifted their attention to Harley.

"What was that?" Channing asked.

Harley shyly looked up at Channing "Can we call him James?"

Hannah nodded "I think James would like that."

"Can I hold James?" Harley asked.

Hannah nodded "Dad?"

"Alright, sit down on the chair." Bill started.

Harley took the instructions as Bill lifted James carefully out of the hospital crib.

"Remember to hold the baby's head very carefully." Bill helped Harley balance his baby brother in his arms.

Meredith took Harley's camera without asking, she began to take photos of her grandad and her two brothers.

Harley looked up at Meredith "Mum."

"It's okay, Harley. Your sister is just taking photos, I'm watching her."

Harley sighed a little as he lowered his gaze down to his baby brother in his arms.

"Do you have a name, Meredith?" Channing asked.

Meredith shook her head with frustration.

"It's okay." Bill looked up at his granddaughter "Naming a baby is very hard."

"Who named me?" Meredith asked.

Bill shifted his attention to his daughter.

"Your named after your grandmother. She would've absolutely loved you." Hannah smiled at the thought.

Meredith felt pride as she finally knew where her name came from.

"Who named Harley?" Meredith questioned.

Bill watched as something had washed over his daughter, he couldn't read clearly what emotion she wanted to express.

"Your dad did. But Harley does have grandad's name as his middle name."

Channing knew what to call his daughter, he loved hearing that Hannah's kids had hints of their family throughout their names "Delica."

"What?" Hannah shifted her attention to Channing.

"Going back a few generations, several woman in my family bore the name Delica. Somewhere on my mother's side."

Bill watched Channing and Hannah before lowering his gaze down to his two grandsons "Are you okay, Harley?"

Harley nodded.

Bill slowly pulled his hands away from Harley's. Bill stepped to his newborn granddaughter before picking her up in his arms.

"Can I hold her, grandad?"

Bill looked down at his granddaughter "Bring that chair closer, sit down."

Meredith did just that.

Bill helped his granddaughter hold her newborn baby sister.

"What about a middle name?" Hannah asked Channing.

"What's Meredith's?"

Hannah shook her head "That'd be too many Rose's."

Channing smiled a little.

"What about someone from your dad's side?"

Channing thought for a moment.

Bill lifted his gaze to Channing and Hannah, this was different. Watching the two parents bounce ideas off each other. He noticed how different the two of them were together, he noticed the huge difference between Channing and Alytain. Bill loved that Channing kept Hannah grounded, he loved that his daughter had finally found someone she could find trust in.

Bill knew it would only be a matter of time before it came crashing down.

"Charlotte?"

Hannah liked that name "Delica Charlotte." She looked at her kids holding the twins, she knew she wanted the twins to have her last name but there was something begging for her to give the twins Channing's last name "Delica Charlotte Jackman and James William Jackman."

Channing felt a new wave of emotion hit him; he couldn't believe the twins were going to share his last name. he wrapped Hannah in his arms as he let tears of joy roll down his eyes.
