Chapter Sixty- Six

January 2010

Hannah noticed Channing and Bill in the twins room, she loved that her father had finally gotten along with at least one person that Hannah was dating, she loved that Channing was attempting to form a bond with her father.

She loved this was the first time, she didn't have to force a guy to play nice with her father. She loved that this was the first time, Bill cared about the feelings of a man Hannah was with.

Channing smiled a little as he noticed Hannah by the doorway "Morning." He noticed she was ready to go out for the day.

"Um. I'm just going to see Alytain for a bit. The kids are still asleep."

Bill shifted his attention to Hannah; his heart sank as he held Delica in his arms.

"You going without the kids?" There was something in Channing's voice that hinted curious yet heartbreak.

Hannah nodded slowly "Um. We need to come to an agreement with the kids and it'll be distracting with them around."

Channing easily believed her lie.

"Just don't tell them." Hannah let heartbreak fill her tone.

Channing stepped forward towards Hannah.

Hannah stepped backwards "You two will be right?"

Channing stopped himself from moving forward.

"We will be." Bill stated.

"Cool." Hannah swiftly turned her back, she rushed down the stairs.

Channing watched as the front door closed before turning his attention to Bill "Did I do something?"

Bill shook his head "It's complicated between the two of them." He could read it all over Channing, the young man was starting to feel hurt.

Channing wasn't stupid, he had noticed their relationship shift a bit, but he had assumed it was because of the twins, he assumed their lives were too busy revolving around two new babies that they struggled to find time for themselves. He knew Alytain being here was putting a little strain on the balancing act Hannah had to pull with her and her kids with ex.
