Hannah sat down at the kitchen table, she had her laptop open, and her diary opened next to it. She sighed as she looked at the down and her handwriting, she used it to try to and keep track of Alytain and his various travels, she used it to let the kids look through when they needed to know when Alytain was coming home.
She had written all the days he'd be in other countries, who he should be with and the numbers she could reach.
She tapped her fingers lightly on the keyboard as her thoughts shifted elsewhere, she couldn't seem to focus on the email she was reading for Alytain.
Her mind seemed to believe all the words to disappear as she rested her fingers on her laptop.
"Han." Channing's voice pulled Hannah out of her thoughts "You okay?"
Hannah quickly shut her diary and looked up at Channing "Yeah. You?"
Channing nodded. He noticed various envelopes surrounded by the other side of her laptop.
"These are from Alytain and his people." There was half a truth in her words.
"You need a hand?"
Hannah shook her head.
She sighed as her phone started to ring, she looked down as Alytain's name flashed across her phone.
Channing wasn't sure what to say, he knew it'd be wrong to force Hannah to stop picking up her phone, but he assumed that she was sick of picking up her phone at all hours of the day and night.
Hannah let the ringtone fill the air as she kept her gaze on her phone.
"Do you want me to pick it up?"
Hannah shook her head "He doesn't know about you, and I'd like to keep it that way."
Channing held his words back as he watched her sigh again. He watched as Hannah reached for her phone and answered the phone.
"Yes?" Hannah dropped her eyes down to her keyboard.
Channing watched as Hannah's face froze, he didn't need to know all the words that were being spoken on the other end of the phone as her reaction screamed something was wrong.
He watched as Hannah sighed.
"Are you sure this time? He said that last time."
Channing assumed Hannah wasn't talking to Alytain.
"Like, permanent permanently?"
Channing watched as Hannah kept her focus away from him.
"Just give him a heads up, say the kids have routine here and they don't need it disrupted."
Channing watched as Hannah was cut off, he watched as annoyance floated across her face.
"Thanks Alec. Keep him safe. Bye." She placed down her phone before hanging her head low.
"Everything okay?"
Hannah swallowed hard "Alytain is going to make a permanent move here once his finished." She shifted her eyes up to Channing "His never made a permanent move to any of the places we lived at. He'd prefer to have houses all over the place, so. Here."
