October 2009
Belle sat in the car; she slipped her wedding ring back on. She took a deep breath as she noticed the hoard of media out the front of her and Alytain's house, they had caught wind that he'd finally be on Australian shores. She loved how long it had taken them to notice, it wasn't like Alytain had been making sneaky trips down every so often over the course of his family living on the Gold Coast.
She remembered when their family was bombarded by the media when they first set up residence on the Gold Coast, she remembered how she felt fearing for her children's safety as the media proudly showed off their house.
Belle beeped her horn slightly, hoping the media would get the hint; they did.
Some began to shuffle out of the way while some struggle with their equipment to move it out of the driveway.
She watched as every camera turned her face her, she kept her focus on the gates as they carefully slid open. She watched as the team of security she had personally hired were keeping guard as she slowly drive up into the driveway.
Belle watched as the security guard the gate as the gate began to slowly slide close.
She stopped slightly after the gate, she waited as an older security guard came towards her window.
Belle wind down the window as she looked up at him.
"We have word that his just been picked up and making his way down now."
"Thank you." Belle smiled a little before pushing her car forward closer to the attached garage. She stopped her car before taking a deep breath.
She placed her hands over her stomach "Now or never, Hannah." She looked up at her reflection in the rear-view mirror "Now or never, Belle." She tried to convince herself who she was in that very moment.
Belle exhaled slowly as her fingers fumbled with her seatbelt. She slowly pushed open the car door before stepping out.
There it was. The first reveal to the world that she was pregnant. The first reveal to the world that she was six months nearly seven months pregnant.
Belle wasn't going to wait outside with the security like she had originally planned, she wasn't going to talk to the media like she had originally planned instead she shuffled her way towards the front door.
She looked down at the keys in her hand, she was thankful that she had come and gone from this place as it sat nearly still full of home life.
Belle found which key it was before pushing the front door open. She dumped her keys in a small heart shaped bowl sitting on a bench by the doorway.
She looked up and around the house, the life that it still bleed. The family photos that once showed this house was fill of laughter and smiles.
The record breaking plaques littered the hallway as Alytain took pride in knowing he had once hit records during his career.
She noticed the sobriety chips still hanging framed by the steps, she took pride in knowing Alytain had made it quite far in being sober. She could only assume that he had broken all over those promises each time he was away.
Belle heard a knock on the front door, she turned her attention around before opening the door.
"Their a few streets away." Spoke a young security guard.
Belle bowed her head slightly to acknowledge the sentence "Can you give me a hand getting down to the gate, please."
The security guard reached out his hand.
Belle slipped her hand into his as he helped her down to the gate. She stood by his side as she and the security waited by the gates.
It took only a few moments before they heard a soft beep of a limousine.
Belle gave the brightest smile she could muster up as she kept her hands around her bump. Her heart raced as she fumbled with the lies in her head.
Alytain popped his head out of the sunroof of the limousine "BELLE!" He yelled as loud as he could muster. His eyes widened at the sight of her stomach, he naturally assumed it was his baby in her stomach.
Belle watched as the limousine stopped at the gate, she watched as an impatient Alytain jumped out of the backdoor, he pushed his way through the media to the gate before squeezing himself in the slow moving gate as it opened. He ran up as fast as his body allowed up to his wife.
Alytain pressed his hands to the side of her face before pressing his lips against her.
Belle allowed herself to soak in the moment, she allowed herself to realise how much she missed Alytain's way of kissing, the way he showed her love.
"Where's the kids?"
"With a friend." She knew Meredith would be watching this live on tv while attempting to update Harley every step of the way, she knew both her kids would be huddled up in Harley's room as this played out.
"Look at you." He pressed his hands softly onto her stomach "Look. Really?"
Belle nodded.
"Fuck yeah!"
"Ma'am." Spoke a security guard.
Belle and Alytain looked up before turning their attention to the limousine waiting for them to move.
Alytain helped Belle to the side of the driveway, letting the limousine drive up and stopping next to her car.
The gate stayed open.
Alytain helped Belle step closer to the gates, the two of them watched as the media took in their presence.
Security kept their alerts up as they watched.
"Fuck."
"Alytain." She shifted her gaze up to him.
"Oh right." He realised they'd have to censor this part of his words. "It's great to be here. Back with the family, we're going to have a blast adding our touch to the gold coast."
Belle intertwined her fingers with Alytain's.
"And look! Belle's pregnant again! Knew I still had the magic." Alytain playfully winked.
Belle allowed herself to laugh at his words, she allowed herself to just be present as her thoughts fought to hide the lies.
