My Super-Story

2: The Book

1 year later.
" Grace we're going to be late for school!" My brother called.
"Coming!" I answered. I love my new life...
    At school. I'm writing in my book, what's it about? Every superhero and super-villain that ever existed! It has their bios, their powers and weaknesses, their identities, you name it I got it. I'm almost done. I put it up for sale on eBay during English class.
    At home, after school. I look and my book already has a buyer and their going to pay me...
   " Oh My Gosh!" They're willing to pay $1 million.
          I tell them that it's not completed and it will be ready on Wednesday, my birthday, Wednesday, March 7, 3013. I love my family and I want to be able to help with expenses like Jared who is 16. Well I decided to look at who was offering me the $1 million it turns out it was "The Joker" which I found was weird. He told me to meet him at 5th avenue. Which was three blocks away.
Wednesday
    " Jared why are you always this way, you can be so mean!" I scream at my foster brother.
       " You're not even my sister she's dead!" Jared counters. I run off to my room crying I hear Betty, my foster mother, scolding Jared. A knock at my door tells me that Greg came to see if I was okay.
      "Hey sweet, you okay?" He asked.
      "Yeah, it just stings when he tells me that" I say sniffing.
       "You know he doesn't mean it" Greg told me sitting on my bed. "Do you want your presents or not?" He says smiling already knowing my answer.
            We both get up and walk down the stairs together, Jared is sitting on the couch when he looks up he notices me and starts to speak but I cut him off
      " I don't want to hear it I forgive you, Kay."
     "I love you" he says giving me a bear hug.
    " Presents!?" Betty calls, I squeal and scamper over to the love-seat, everyone else chuckles and walks over to take a seat.
    My life Rocks! Betty got me a jewelry set with my birth stone, AquaMarine. Greg got me a photo album of all the photos of us together and of them before I got adopted. I opened my last present from Jared it was stunning it was an iPhone SE with a batman case! I squealed ran at him and hugged him and said you are the best! I told them I had to go meet someone Jared came with me. I was going to back out of the deal. When we got to 6th avenue I saw my buyer, it was the Joker he saw me too, he took out a gun pointed it at me and shot... I waited for the impact but I was pushed out of the way, and heard a cry of pain, I looked next to me and saw Jared on the ground covered in blood, he was dying! "Don't ever think I won't be with you, I'll always be by your side..." He said.
             I cried and cried when I felt someone watching me I looked up. The Joker was watching me with an amused smile...
