28: A Mission Of Fun

Riding through the streets, I felt someone poking through my mind.
"Whichever one of you has telepathy, I can feel you so could you stop going through my head." I said over the com-links.
Someone mumbled a sorry. I think it was Val, then Sapphire jumped in
"Val I told you not to do that until we were in our own time or when we need it to communicate." She said exasperatedly.
"So Lisa, Jess, Bailey, what are we doing?" I question, they all look at me like I'm crazy.
"What?! I wanna know!" I said raising my hands defensively.
They all started yelling at me to keep my hands on the bars, but just to annoy them I formed a back and headrest and leaned back and drove with my feet. They all looked at me utterly annoyed,
"Stop showing off, and we'll tell you what's going on." Jessica (Shadow) said.
I sat straight and had my bike on autopilot to where we were going so I turned to face them.
"So what are we doing, please tell me I don't have to kill someone on my first rodeo." I said they all looked at me shocked.
"You mean you've never done this before!" they shrieked.
"Jeez, no I haven't I was only informed at 10' pm that I was going to be prouncing around the world as an evil masked vigilante!" I yelled.
I knew they'd all done this before but did they have to be so mean about it.
"Listen, Ivy, your going to have to do whatever I tell you to do alright," BB (Black Bow) asked.
"Right O Domino!" I said, both Lisa(BB) and Bailey (White Cheetah) looked at me curiously, Jessica (Shadow) just burst out laughing.
"You say the weirdest things Ivy!" She said through laughs then they finally told me what the mission was.
Yeah!
"Our mission is to steal a new potential weapon from Wayne Enterprises, it is a pair of gauntlets that controls the vibrations of objects, and potentially people. We have to get it and bring it back to the HQ, the Young Justice team was tipped off about this mission so be prepared, they do not know who will be coming to get it or when they only know it will happen tonight." BB told us through a telepathic link that Bailey created, cool right.
"Who tipped them off?" I asked, she sighed.
"Joker, it is part of our mission to be able to get away with the gauntlets without being caught." WC (white cheetah) said, I sighed this was going to be a breeze.
Time skip to Wayne Enterprises
Nightwing P.O.V.
We'd been standing here for a while and no one showed. The guys and I decided we were going to take this mission, KF, Aqua-lad, Super-boy, and I were going to take the tip about Wayne Enterprises, Meghan, Karen and Artemis had chosen to take the LexCorp. tip. We had been waiting for hours then KF perked up so did Superboy.
"What do you hear?" Aqua lad and I questioned them.
"4 motorcycles, 4 girls and they're all laughing and having a blast, they're coming around the corner... Now" Superboy said.
Just as he said, 4 motorcycles with 4 female riders came zipping around the corner, you could hear their laughter. They were all dressed in dresses and their helmets were tinted so you couldn't see their eyes, what I found interesting was that they were riding in formation.
"Awesome bikes! Nightwing you think we could get bikes like that!" KF said to me excitedly.
He was right the bikes were awesome the one in the lead had a pink and black colour scheme the one in the back was a golden puma, the flanking left was grey, black, and navy blue, and the right flanking was black with a red and white colour scheme. She seemed to be the most innocent of the group they were talking and she turned on her bike to face the left and started talking while driving with one hand, the one in the front started yelling at her to keep both hands on the wheel and her eyes on the road. They all started laughing at what she did next she put her hands on the front wheel and her gloves protected her hands. They pulled into an alley and parked, they took off their helmets, the guys and I marvelled at their beauty.
The leader what I learnt was that her name was Lisa Gable, she was the oldest, she knew how to dress, she was in a party dress that was bubblegum pink, she had sunglasses on, super curly blonde hair with pink darkening towards the ends of her hair, Aqualad was ogling at her.
The one from the back, I learnt her name was Bailey Farris, she was beautiful she had long black hair in a waterfall braid, she was in a short white dress, with sequins, she had sunglasses on like Lisa, KF was ogling at her.
Then there was the flanking left whose name was Jessica Abbott, she had black hair with blue streaks, she was in a fitting ruby red dress that ended mid-thigh, she had sunglasses on as well, she was the second youngest, Superboy was ogling at her.
The one I was ogling at was flanking right, her name was Ivy Cooper and my assumption about her being the youngest was right, she wore a puffy teal dress, with sunglasses like her friends she was the most un experienced, they all looked around the age of eighteen. They were going to the bar across the street and didn't want their bikes to be taken so they hid them. We watched them go in.
Grace P.O.V.
"They know we're here." WC said.
"Then why aren't they attacking us, isn't it kind of obvious that we're villains?" Shadow asked. I laughed.
"No it's not, because we are going into the club across the street for some drinks!" I said laughing as I turned to face them.
"Are you crazy we have a mission!" Bailey yelled.
"And keep both of your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road!" Lisa yelled.
I literally put both of my hands on the wheel, the front wheel and looked up.
"Stop showing off." Jessica said.
"Chill, Jess! We look like we're going to the club so that's where we're going so they won't suspect anything!" I say gripping the handlebars.
"Turn down this alley, so no one tries to take our bikes." I say, motioning to an alley right in front of a club.
They all take of their helmets and look at their attire.
"I'm guessing this is your doing." Lisa says as she looks at me, I smile cheekily.
"If we're going clubbing we're doing it the right way!" I say.
They all look at me and look like they're having a mental fight because of the hand gestures,.
I utter the magic words, "I wish!".
"For a newbie she's pretty good." Jess says.
  "She is going to endanger this mission, if she keeps up like this we'll never make it to the gauntlets." Lisa said.
"Her ideas are good but she can't have this much optimism, otherwise she'll blow our cover." Bailey says.
I interject before any of them insult me more.
"Excuse me but, this is my cover I came up with, second of all we're going to go to the back of the club and go around, third of all, optimism makes it believable." I tell them.
They all looked at me shocked probably because I got through to their conversation.
"So you guys ready to go clubbing!" I say cheerily bouncing on my toes.
They all comply, we strut, mainly me, across the street and into the club the bouncer looked at me and said
"i.d."
I reached in my purse and brought out four fake ideas.
"Ivy Cooper?" He asks me I nod.
"Jessica Abbott?" He asks Jess, she nods.
"Bailey Farris?" He asks Bailey she nods.
"Lisa Gable?" He asks Lisa, she nods.
He hands me back the i.d.'s and I put them in my purse and smile at the bouncer in thanks. I walk to the middle of the club and throw some fog marbles and drag my group behind me when we're out the back I press the detonator. You hear screaming from inside the club we bolt around and just as we go into the Wayne Enterprises building we see some shapes moving into the club.
"Score!" I say and start walking up the stairs, I changed to our villain uniforms instantly.
"What the hell did you drop on the floor?" Jess screamed through the mind-link as we were nearing the gauntlets holding cell.
"Fog marbles, they have a remote detonator. Cool huh!" I say as I almost walk right into... Batman.
We all crashed into each other they all crumpled to the ground behind me grumbling about why I stopped, I stood stock still, unmoving, terrified out of my wits. He turned and they all disappeared I said I wish, but before I could finish he went all baloney on me. Left kick right punch, right kick left punch, hey, he has a rhythm when he fights maybe I don't have to duck as much. Okay you know what maybe I'll just turn around and... I turn around the four YJ boys are running full pelt in my direction.
"Why does everything happen to me!" I whine.
I think of the floor being an ice rink, and I am the only one with skates. They all slip tumble and fall.
"Jeez, what the hell is wrong with you guys, throwing me to the hounds with an ice rink as my escape route thanks a lot!" I yell through the halls.
Batman is getting up slowly, the boys are still sprawled all over the floor, I skate around them doing fun tricks, singing the song <My Body by Young the Giant>.
Then my buddies, Lisa and Bailey, come finally with the gauntlets and the ice slowly melts so everyone, as in superheroes, are swimming. But then I realize my mistake to late, Lisa is grabbed by a watery arm she yelps in surprise, but then recovers she has and arrow drawn in her black bow in seconds everyone isn't surprised except for me.
   "You let her go or I unleash the cheetah." Bailey warns.
Kid Flash looks at her and then starts flirting and she flirts back.
Then I feel someone grab my hair, punch me I don't care, you touch my hair you a dead man!
"You let go of my hair now, and you won't get hurt." I say to my capture who has no idea who he is messing with when he pulls my hair.
A soft chuckle comes from behind me,
he whispers in my ear, "And what if I don't?"
I growl in response and mutter some nasty words, inaudible to anyone.
Someone chuckles, "She's feisty for a newbie." Superboy says.
I was about to ask how he heard that but then remembered that he was almost exactly like Superman, except for the flying and laser eyes.
I reached for my mask, they all gasped, Lisa and Bailey yelled for me not to, Lisa was being restrained by Aqualad, and Bailey was in restraints thanks to Kid Flash. I kept reaching for my mask everyone was watching my every move. Just as I touched my mask a hand grabbed my wrist and a deep voice said
"You're clearly new at this!" He hadn't realized he let go of my hair,
"And so are you" I say while stomping on his foot and running full pelt towards a window.
I saw the bat's cape but didn't care I ran with all my force and broke out of the window. I heard shouts of my name, Ivy, I liked it but I wasn't planning on dying tonight, as I neared the ground I saw a lamp post, leaning forward I grabbed it and I twirled around it three times and ran into a nearby alley.
Nightwing P.O.V.
"HOLY SHOOT, who the hell was that?" I ask the girls sitting in front of me.
They were tied up both where annoyed.
"You actually think we're going to tell you?" Bailey scoffed.
I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Listen, Bailey, Lisa, we just want to know what side your on?" I say looking at them.
They look at me like I'm a complete idiot.
"Why are you looking at us like we're complete idiots!?" KF said, over reacting.
"Because you are." They said pointedly at the same time.
"Jinx, double Jinx, triple Jinx!" They said all in unison, I sighed.
"Wait, where are the gauntlets you stole?" Kaldur asked.
We all looked at each other, none of us had searched them, the girls started to giggle.
Superboy looked at them and asked what was wrong, I on the other hand saw it as a distraction. Someone burst out laughing and then there was a chorus of four different voices laughing together, no one knew exactly where two of them were coming from, but I had an idea. I spun on my heel and swung hard, the laughter stopped except for two voices, the one of the girl I'd just punched and the other Jessica, who was missing. I then remembered when Ivy pelted out of the room she ran right by Lisa, they high fived, maybe it had been a hand off of the gauntlets.
