44: The End of Wolf

To say they were surprised would be an understatement.

Nightwing and Robin almost fainted, realizing that they had been living with a criminal for a year. Everyone else, who knew me in person was also quite shocked, the ones who didn't know me didn't really understand.

Guess there goes my birthday wish, now I'm starting to understand my sixth sense a little better. It's only useful when I don't need it. I guess it's better off this way, held at a knife point as your secret identity is unveiled to all your friends and everyone who could potentially make your life very difficult. I guess it's also time to unveil my powers as a Kigo. I slammed my elbow into Greene's stomach, making him release me and disarming him of the knife, before flipping before the group of young heroes. Nightwing began to flip out, Robin remaining silent in his shock. Thankfully Kid grabbed him before he could do anything stupid, trying to contain his anger.

"Kid's right Nightwing, we don't have time to deal with this right now, although I would have preferred to have told you myself after this was all over and I had completed my mission back in your world, but that clearly isn't going to happen. So, calm down and work with me, you can hate me all you want when we get back to the mountain but for now we are allies." I called behind me.

"Oh, is the Kigo finally getting serious? Is it because you don't want me to reveal any more of your secrets?"

"He's lying, he wants to create distrust between us." I call behind my back

"Oh as if we already didn't trust you" Nightwing snarled.

"Fine, if you won't trust me then stay out of the fight," staying in front of the them, I stuck my right arm out to the side. Gasps of surprise were emitted when a portal formed at my fingers, leading up into my arm. As the portal began to descend my arm, an armour began to appear starting from the shoulder plate, and as it passed my hand a glowing aura came surrounded the hellish looking blade. A sharp intake of breath came from behind me as the green boy leaned over to Robin.

"Is that the Prophet's Bane from Halo 5?"

I turned around smiling, "I never said I couldn't take weapons from other dimensions" lunging forward towards Greene. I became 'camouflaged' as is the best part about this blade. I had increased my speed, and when I moved I became nearly invisible. Greene may have been a scientist but he was not trained in combat, and this blade would help me defeat him. It didn't have the benefit of one strike take down in the real world, but it still did a lot of damage. 

Sneaking up on Greene, despite his speed increase, he could not evade me in this form as I had the advantage. I struck him a couple of times before disarming the Prophet's Bane. I had little use for that because he became too frustrated, so I armed myself with a crowd favourite, two portals this time appeared one for each hand. In one hand was the hand armour for the Iron Man suit, repulsor and all. On my right wrist was the famed  shield of Captain America. The green boy had a similar reaction of excitement when these two appeared. I would have summoned something else, a lot easier, but I had heroes nearby meaning I couldn't really go all out [I would have summoned a lightsaber]. So in a combination of tactful angled throws of the Vibranium frisbee and well timed repulsor blasts. 

I was able to finally leave enough damage on the glove he wore, that it no longer became functional with all of the fancy beatings it got. I was quite satisfied with myself when Greene tried to change it once again to Martian Manhunter's powers but that was no longer working, him then attempting for Flash's speed but was once again unsuccessful. I had already made Superman's powers unattainable so Greene was at a stalemate. He made moves to try and fight again but Kid Flash, always the reliable friend, swiftly sped over and knocked him out with a hit to the neck. The two weapons dematerialized into their appropriate place, as I strode towards the computers. 

"You can all head back to the mountain," I waved my arm in the air behind me, recreating the portal that brought us here, leading back to the main room at the mountain. "I can finish the rest of this by myself, I will return to explain everything else." 

It seems everyone was eager to return to their home dimension, and could care less as to what I was going to do. I had reached the computer, and had begun to erase all the data, as I transferred it to my usb that I always carried. It seems I had some stragglers who didn't trust me to return. Kid Flash and Nightwing remained with me as Artemis brought the still shocked Robin through the portal. 

"So you two aren't going to leave with the rest, huh?"

"I don't trust you to come back, so I'm here to make sure you do" 

"What if someone tries to attack you, I'm here as your backup"

You can guess who said what, I sighed annoyed now, "Whatever" and I sealed up the portal before returning to my work. Wally took of his mask as he approached me, 

"Don't take off your mask now she knows your secret identity!" Nightwing exclaimed. We both gave him a deadpanned look and returned to what we were doing.

"I already know your identities," I retort to the stiff teenager behind me. I guess he forgot that not only as a Kigo I knew practically everything, but the first time we had met, I told him I knew who he was.

"You won't call us by name, because I don't go strutting around calling you by your name, do I Mr. Grayson?"  [ch28]

Nightwing thought back to the night he first met Wolf, he had to admit as he thought it over, there were so many signs of who she was. Even Aqualad had mentioned how weird she behaved around him specifically, only to be confirmed now what Bruce had said. They didn't know anything about her, not even him.

"You didn't tell me you were some fancy dimension walker, and what's this about your mission?" Wally asked me, as I continued to search through Greene's database.

"Well, I lied about the whole threatening my family thing. That was complete bull, and I didn't really know what I was. Ra's had the answers I needed, so I went to him, also the only reason I was able to travel to this dimension was because the Joker came to get me. It's not the only interference from your dimension though, multiple villains have accessed this world, and I needed to find out who was supplying them with the equipment to do it. I thought if I stuck with them, I would find the seller, but it seems the seller found me. Ra's was the one who told me all about the dimension walker lore, and my dad had an old journal of my mum's that explained everything to me." I responded as I finally found what I was looking for. All the buyers from their dimension that were in possession of an inter-dimension travelling device, the list was quite long. I quickly downloaded it, and wiped all traces of the technology and research from the server and all backups were destroyed. I waved my hand as a butterfly appeared atop my palm, I blew onto it. It fluttered away and multiplied as it landed on each of the ones involved in this projects foreheads. The energy butterfly sunk into their minds and wiped any memory and redirected their thoughts to other things fixing it so that they would never return to this project.

"I think we're done here" I say waving my hand creating a portal, as I snatch up the glove. I motion them through, myself following after. The portal sealed just as every person began to awake confused as to what they were doing at work on a Saturday.
