Story: Parents abandoned her and her brother, when she was only 3 years old. Her brother protected her but one day, on her 4th birthday, he was kidnapped. For 2 years she searched for him and became extremely smart, because she searched for Kyle relentlessly. She makes a deal with her brothers kidnapper, for his life she would have to become his apprentice. Deathstroke took on his new comrade with sincere pride, Audrey was an amazing child and he didn't know why someone would give her up. He taught her all he knew, but he was kinder to her then he was to Kyle. Kyle became Crow to watch over his sister, Deathstroke and Crow didn't get along at all. Deathstroke kills Crow after Shadow kills her mortal enemy, Barbara Gordon. On a mission with Deathstroke, Shadow is captured and Deathstroke goes to save her, but when Shadow's captures threaten her life she leans into the shadows and is no longer solid, you can't see or feel her she became a Shadow. Deathstroke trains Shadow with her powers and she uses it to her abilities. When Audrey turns 9 Deathstroke sends her to Gotham academy to get a feel of undercover, she uses her real name Audrey Piper. When there she becomes close friends with young Richard Grayson whom is 11, she is one day confronted by one of Dick's admirers and friends Barbara Gordon. Barbara asks how she thinks of Dick, she responds that he is a brotherly figure to her. The next day Dick ignores Audrey all day, and when she asks him what she did, he answered "You could of just told me! Instead you go around and act like a sister to me!" Well screamed more, Audrey was puzzled and asked "Exactly what did I not tell you?" Dick fumes for a few seconds then he answers "I asked Barbara, to ask you, how you thought of me. When she came back she told me that you were a gold digger just getting close to me because of my dad!" He finished it screaming. Audrey left the school crying and Deathstroke was about to go kill Dick when she told him exactly what happened, and that she never wanted to see either of them and if she could just be home-schooled. Dick never got the chance to apologize, because he overheard Barbara scoffing with some of her friends about how stupid she is and that Dick just broke her heart by believing her lie. Dick searched for her as Robin and as Dick but never found her until, Grace brings her back and they reunite.
