10: The File

Dick P.O.V.
It's Thursday morning, the manor is quiet, Bruce is at a meeting for WayneCorp. and Jason is at a friends house so I'm left alone to my thoughts I look over to my desk to see the hospital file filled with papers when it should be almost empty. Curiosity over rides any signs of uneasiness, I pull out my cell phone and ask Wally to come over to Gotham, specifically the Batcave so we can look over the file together. When he comes to the Batcave, I asked him what was so important he had to steal the file. He flipped open the first page and there is a file on her blood, her parents.
       "Wally, how is this bad?" I ask.
       "Because you're not allowed to do this without patient or guardian consent, it's illegal! This hospital took her secrets that weren't theirs to know, I wouldn't like it and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't either!" Wally replied under enthusiastically.
      "So, we have the file we could just burn it" I replied annoyed.
   *smack* Wally slapped himself in the face.
        "We have to break into the hospital to retrieve her blood samples and delete everything on her." Wally exclaimed very loudly.
      "Hello?" Said a voice from upstairs. Shoot I forgot Grace was still here.
      "Good thing I prefer street clothes." Wally murmured. I grabbed Wally by the wrist and dragged him upstairs to "meet" Grace. We found Grace walking around in the living room in a simple outfit she bought yesterday worn out jeans and a sweater. I walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder. She spun on her heel, did a few pressure points and I crumpled to the ground, there goes my pride.
      "Oh my gosh, Dick I'm so sorry!" She said she stuck out her hand to help me up and Wally sniggered from the doorway. Grace looked up after helping me up,
         "Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you, I definitely heard you but didn't see you, I'm Grace, Grace Hunter!" She said and smiled warmly while walking towards him.
     "Well lovely, my name is West, Wally West" Wally said while giving her a charming smile most girls would easily fall for.
       "Well Mr.Bond, you're quite a flirt aren't you?" she said while giving him a kiss on the cheek. Wally blushed, now that's not like Wally.
       "Well I'm off have to get decorations for my room!" Grace exclaimed she walked over to me leaned down and kissed me on the cheek then did the same to Wally.
      "Bye guys, nice meeting you Wally" Grace called over her shoulder then we heard the door close Wally walked over and slumped on the couch.
      "Wow...I have never met a girl who's had enough courage to kiss me the first time we meet" he told himself.
         "Wally she kissed you on the cheek, it's a way to greet or say goodbye to someone in Québec, it wasn't personal, she did it to me too and if this file is correct, that's her hometown her mothers from there her father's from Gotham and... You've got to be kidding" I said recognizing the last name.
        "What?!" Wally asked all excitedly. I look at him and tell him
       "She's Cat Woman's niece!" I exclaimed.
     "We'll do it tonight I do not want her coming for her too" I told Wally.
That night, Artemis, Nightwing, and Kid Flash scour the hospital.
"Why exactly are we stealing from a hospital again?" Artemis asked through the com.
       "Because we have to keep Grace safe from her aunt, Cat Woman, and this hospital stole her molecular secrets it's not their secrets to know!" KF hissed into the com.
         "Move in!" I said through our com.
We were inside when we ran into the person we least wanted to see.
      "Ooh, is Bats here, or did he send you three to pick up my niece's file?" Cat Woman purred.
       "Oh the hospital called me when they got the blood back, if you're wondering" she continued. There was going to be a fight, and she knew it, I told Wally to go get every file on Grace so Artemis and I could keep Cat Woman occupied.
        "I will get her, even if I have to force her to come with me, I will get her" Cat Woman taunted.
       "She won't remember you and she's quite skilled. She could stall until we could get there for her!" I challenged
      "What if it's not me?" She said then grinned evilly and left. Wally came after a while with the files.
     "Take them back to the cave then go back to your place, I have to find Grace" I said quickly.
      "You can't go back alone, if what she says is true Nightwing you'll need backup" Artemis said.
     "Take the files to the cave I'll meet you there then you can come find me after, Roy can't take down the Light all on his own!" I said as I jump through the window to get to the manor faster.
