"I can see through people"

Chapter 13:

-ORIS POV-

He looked up at me with his mouth slightly agape in shock.

I nodded. "Yeah, I said it. I did all the saving Nathan, you weren't even there to help for a bit of it. All these broken pieces somehow fit together but not like I hope they would. Scars glued them all and this is what's left of me."

"I didn't mean for this Ori, I honestly didn't."

I sarcastically smiled at him, with my head cocked to the side, "I'm sure, nath. I'm sure that you meant the best like you said you did. Im bloody sure. but I'm also sure that exactly 48 days ago from today, you walked out that door without a care in the world and made a promise you couldn't keep."

He stood there staring at me as my eyes glazed over in tears.

"Get out." I repeated.

"Ori..."

"ORI WHAT? What do you have to say to me? Because I have nothing to say to you. You can leave... Now. Find out that I'm gone and will be gone for another month by my goddamn twitter. Right? Cause that's totally fine."

"Ori, be reasonable."

"I am." I nodded my head towards the door and continued, "Leave."

I pointed towards the door and he looked in the direction.

"You really want me to?" He whispered quietly.

I nodded, "pretty sure I said that"

He pursed his lips and nodded his head subtly. "Alright." He fixed his beanie and stuck his hands in his pockets before walking out the door.

I stood there, frozen.

"Why did you say things that you don't mean?" Ryan walked out of his room, asking .in nothing but gray sweatpants.

-flashback-

I stuck my textbook on top of my other books on my left arm and stumbled across the field into the university building. With my old vans, a pair of dark grey skinny jeans and a burgandy ramones shirt with a lighter grey sweater, I tried to avoid as much people as i could. Some people were mingling around and a few guys were playing football on the long side of the field. I looked down at my feet as I walked. Being new, there really wasn't anyone to look at, and Nathan had gone on tour. I cringed at the thought and pushed my glasses back to the rim of my nose. I spotted my class building and slightly turned right when someone hit my shoulder.

"Sorry! Are you okay?"

I smiled back at him, took in his grey sweatpants and his dark red short sleeved shirt and nodded, "yeah I'm fine."

He eyed my books and questioned, "you need any help there?" I looked down at my arms and gave him a crocked smile.

"Maybe?"

He chuckled lightly and took a few books off my pile.

We started walking and he turned to face me without stopping, "Hey, I'm Ryan."

-flashback over-

I turned to look at him as he had a smug look on his face.

"Go ahead! Tell me. We've got--" he looked at his wrist even though he didn't have a watch on "-- alllll day."
