Enjoy.

"Can't promise things won't be broken."

Chapter 17:

-ORI'S POV-

He stood up slowly, not letting go of my arm. "Come on," he said as he pulled me up. I was confused, but I didn't show it, and I didn't resist. I got up off of the bed and let him take me out of the house and into his car.

Once I got in, I asked, "Where are we going?"

He started the engine and backed out of the driveway as he intertwined his fingers into mine. Kissing my knuckles one by one, he whispered, "You'll see."

I shifted in the seat, curious thoughts swarming through my head. I hadn't yet fully recovered from the shock of what he had just did, and my arms were feeling unusally bare.

I stared out the window as the soft hum of music through the radio filled my ears, and I unconciously sang along.

"Whaaaaat? Is that the sound of Mrs. Sykes singing??"

I snapped my head, "Mrs. Sykes?"

If he noticed my urgency, he didn't show it. He grinned smugly, "Has a nice tune to it doesn't it? Ori Sykes."

"Stop the car." I could see him tensen, and grinned a little to myself.

"What why?"

"Stop the car!"

He gulped heavily and pulled over to the side of the road. "Whats up?"

"I demand you tell me what you have planned, right now." He chuckled and shook his head.

"Nope!" I glared at him, and he started driving once again. He ignored my frustration and turned the radio up.

I breathed heavily and tried to calm my curiosity. What if he was gonna propose? What would I do? What would he do? How would it all work out? I bit down on my bottom lip and closed my eyes.

The music and engine stopped, without me realizing it. The thing that woke me out of daze was his low voice, "We're here." I opened my eyes and looked up.

"A boat?"

"Yep, come on love!" He got out of the car, and I followed him. He directed me onto the boat, holding my hands so that I didn't fall. Once I got on the boat, the view took my breath away. The sun was beginning to set, and candles around the edge of the boat lit up the dinner table in the center.

Nath stood leaning on the dinner table, as he looked at my reaction.

"You like it love?"

I turned to look at him with my mouth open. "Like? No, I don't like it. In fact, its horrible, because I love it. I'm in love with i-."

"Woah woah there...that's taking it a bit too far."

I automatically smiled as he pushed off of the dinner table and reached for my hand. Pulling a chair out, he motioned dramatically, "M'lady."

I rolled my eyes and took a seat as he hurried to the seat across from me.

The next hour or so, we spent eating and talking. His laugh was intoxicating, and his eyes shone brighter than I remembered. After we both finished our meal, he got up and dragged me with him.

I raised my eyebrows, "Where are we going now?"

"Welll...." His left corner of his lip pulled down and I squinted at him. He reached his hand out of his pant pocket and held out a small, square dark blue velvet box.

My eyes widened and I automatically cupped my hand over my mouth. He laughed at my reaction and held his palm up, "Not yet, okay? Just wait."

He coughed dramatically and pulled on his serious face. He wrinked his forehead and looked back up at me, "Are you from Tennessee, cause you're the only ten I see!......No?" He cleared his throat, "lets try this again, is it hot in here, or is it me?"

I furrowed my eyebrows and hit his arm, "I'm joking babe!" He lifted his arms up in surrender and I stuck my tongue out at him. "Do you have any raisins? Well what about marrying me?" He kneeled down on one knee, and my heart skipped a few beats.

"Lets start with this...how the bloody hell did you ever pick me? Honestly, I could sing you a song but I mean I don't think words could express your beauty. They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need. Please stay as long as you need. Can't promise that things won't be broken, but I swear that I will never leave." I raised my eyebrow at him and he corrected himself, "Again." I nodded in approvement, but couldn't resist the smile forming at my lips, "Please stay forever with me. I swear I never go a day without thinking about you and its driving me insane. You mean more to me than the world, and I would do literally anything for you. I'm not sure where I'm going with this...well I do, but I don't think I could ever stand thinking about you with someone else. Just the thought kills me. You're so beautiful, and so strong. You're funny, and well, you're perfect. And I don't want to spend a moment knowing that I could have possibly lost you. So, Ori, will you do me the honors of marrying me?"

"Yes!!" He grinned at me and put the ring onto my finger. I looked down and smiled at the thought.

I'm going to spend the rest of my life with Nathan.

Before I could do anything, he enveloped me in a kiss. When he pulled away, he didn't let go of me. Rather, he pulled me into a hug and started mini-dancing.

There was some cheering coming from on shore and I saw Ysa and Ryan applauding. Ysa had her hands around her mouth to make her cheer louder and Ryan had his arm wrapped around her waist.

Nath paused and we both laughed at them. My eyes widened as I almost fell over. Nathan pulled me up before I could land on the boat and I giggled. The candles started shaking and I poked Nath's arm.

"Shouldn't we blow out the candles?"

He turned to look at them and nodded.

"That's a good idea. See marrying you is always a good option."

I rolled my eyes and started blowing out the candles closest to me.
