Chapter 15

"So I'll uhm.. I'll call you?" Niall says leaning on the door.

"Yea... Thanks for bringing me back." I try to give my most genuine smile. If I'm completely honest with myself, I don't want him to leave. I want to spend time with him but I know that he has a life outside of a girl that he's known for a month.

He leans in and kisses my forehead before leaving. I shut the door and walk over and fall on my bed.

What do I do now?

I think to myself. I haven't kept to my schedule at all. I met a boy, that I notice I'm falling for. I haven't seen as much of the country as I had liked but I'm not as upset as I should be.

My thoughts are interrupted by my phone ringing. I pick it up and look at the screen, and I see "Mom" flash across the screen. Shit. I haven't talked to her in weeks.

"Hello?" I say hesitantly into the phone.

"Madison? Surprised your alive." Great, she sounds angry.

"Uhm.. Yea sorry about not calling you for awhile." I say hesitantly. When my mother is angry she annoys me more than anything, but since I know she's mad, I try to tread lightly.

"Awhile?" She scoffs, "It's almost been 3 weeks since you last called me! What happened to our deal Daniella? What are you doing there anyway that has you too busy to even pick up the phone to call your own mother?" She raises he voice.

I think to myself, should I tell her about Niall? She's usually very supportive with me when it comes to social things, and I would guess she'd be excited about me finding a guy since I didn't have a boyfriend in high school, but she's really angry so I probably shouldn't bring him up.

"Mom, I'm sorry I've just really been busy, I've seen a lot really." I say, not completely lying.

"Like?"

"Well I've gone to a few different beaches, and I've seen a bunch of castles. I've really been exploring around the city though." Again, not fully telling the truth but I'm not really lying.

I hear her sigh on the other end, "Well alright. Madison, you need to call, or at least text me. I was worried sick about you. What if something happened? And I didn't know and wasn't able to-"

"Mom I'm fine. I'm sorry, I'll try to contact you more." I say.

"You won't try, you will contact me more." She says sternly.

"Yea sure. I have to go now mom, love you bye." I try to hurry off the phone

She says goodbye and I fall back on the bed. I feel kind of bad for not asking how she is but I know she's fine or she would've been much more angry or just told me. Plus I have...other things on my mind right now.

I lift my head up when there's a knock at my door. What? It can't be Niall, he just left. Who would be hear this early? Well it's not exactly early, it's 11am but still.

I walk over and open the door to see two familiar faces standing in front of me. Harry and...Zayn I think his name was.

"Hey Madi." Harry smiles.

"Hey." Zayn nods.

"Oh uhm hey... Sorry I kinda just woke up."

"Mhmm." Zayn says. "You were at my flat last night yeah?"

"Wh-what?" I stutter. "Oh, right you room with Niall... Uhm yeah I was. How'd you know?"

"Well I didn't, just when I came by to get something's Niall was being a real dick about me being to loud, so I guessed he had someone over... You." He laughs.
