13 - Threats & Cuts

I wasn't too eager to get back to work, but I knew I had to get over that. a break up sucks but you can't let it take over everything. I had a job to do.

A clear goal

Whenever I saw Jimin, he either had this guilt written all over his face or this worry. It also seemed he came by our area more often than before. Talking to all team member, expect for me of course. but he even spoke more to Gina.

Then it hit me; I showed Jimin my wall with leads and clues, if he was to tell Gina about it, it would be over for me for sure. She'd take me off this gang for sure, perhaps even the team considering I had deliberately concealed pretty important information.

I got so scared and paranoid every time I saw them talk that I decided to secure my position once and for all.

At the end of the day I saw Jimin walking towards his car and I ran after him.

    'Mr Park' I shouted, Jimin turned around

     'Hey y/n, everything okay?'

Was this guy for real? is everything okay? really?

though, Jimin's expression also changed, he probably realized how stupid his question was.

but I shouldn't get sidetracked. I came here with a clear purpose.

    'If you tell Gina about what I told you I will tell everyone we fucked while you are engaged to another. '

He narrowed his eyes 'are you threatening me?'

    'I guess I am'

Hurt was visible in Jimin's eyes

     'y/n, I am so sorry about what I did...but.. this isn't you. you're not like this'

The comment was startling for sure. and there was a truth in there. but no, he lost the right to act like he cared or knew me.

   'I guess we just don't know each other as well as we thought' I replied and with that I left. 

Another two weeks passed and this time Jimin stayed away, I hardly saw him up close anymore. Just in the distance.

and every time it still seemed a little bit of my heart broke.

I really wished that I was stronger, no it has nothing to do with that. You can be strong and experience heartbreak.

I should acknowledge it in order to move from it.

The strange thing was that the only time I felt like myself again was when I was spending time with Jungkook. He knew the right things to say and right things to do when he noticed I was feeling down. It had been that way in the academy too but apparently it was still like that.

My thoughts were disturbed by the alarm on my phone.

The alarm indicating someone pressed the robbery emergency button again.

my initial reaction was confusion when I saw where the robbery was exactly. 

I jumped up and rushed towards Jungkook who was fully focused on his computer.

  'There is robbery at the Lotte department store"

    'what.. the department store?' Jungkook was confused but we didn't really have time for that.

    'Let's go'

Seojun and Dong-min also jumped off and two by two, as usual we drove to the department store.
