y/n pov
I arrived at the place and decided to park the car on a little distance from the address that was provided over the phone. It seemed like the safest thing to do not to give them any hint that I was close.
I first took a deep breath. My hand wavered over the gun in my holster. Then I got out and walked the distance to the house. When I turned around the corner I immediately saw the car.
It's that car.
I slowly and as natural as possible crossed the road towards the little decayed house.
Then a car at an insane speed rushed in the street. it took me completely off guard.
It stopped right in front of me and an unsettled Jimin got out.
'What are you doing here Jimin?' I let out tense. First because I still wasn't on friendly terms with him and also because he kind of ruined my plan to be invisible.
He shook his head, angry.
'The better question is what the hell are you doing here by yourself?' he also sounded tense.
'I had a lead I wanted to follow'
He scoffed 'you can't just go running after leads without any backup. That's dangerous'
'How did you know I was here?'
'You didn't join for lunch. So I went to get you but you weren't there. and you used a police car? they have trackers?...' he said it in a confused tone as if I was stupid I didn't know.
wellhonestly it was a bit stupid I didn't think about that.
I didn't respond
'Are you okay y/n?' he then asked slightly worried 'perhaps its better if we leave. '
'I don't think so.. plus stop caring about how I'm doing please' I answered while moving forwards to the entry of the building.
I knocked on the door but no response.
'kick it in' I instructed Jimin.
'You can't just do that y/n, we need a warrant.'
He had a point, and normally I was very much in compliance with the rules but on this occasion I really couldn't care.
'I swear Jimin, if you don't do it I'll go try myself'
He looked at me with doubt but then eventually did what I asked of him.
I ran inside and a guy was already rushing away, but it was evident it really was unexpected we were here.
'STOP RIGHT THERE' the guy stopped in his tracks as I pointed the gun at his back
'now hands up and turn around' I indicated, and the guy obliged, bringing his arms up and slowly turning around. as I expected it was a male in his mid 20s. the weird thing was how he didn't look like he was caught, he didn't seem nervous or scared as robbers normally did at the moment they were about to get captured.
'It would be a wise decision to let me go' the guy stated calmly, his black bouncy curls covering his forehead.
'We just want to take you in for questioning' I answered
'Nothing more'It wasn't entirely true because we could arrest him for trespassing in this property that was obviously not his, and the fact he was running made him look guilty. I wouldn't just let him go off the hook easily.
'I am afraid that can't happen.'
I raised my eyebrow, this guy spoke with the confidence as if he wasn't at the point of going to go to jail for a considerable amount of time.
'Are you not aware that you are the one at gunpoint so you don't really have a choice?' I asked slightly confused.
The guy smirked
'I am not the only one under gunpoint darling'
I turned sideways and I was convinced that Jimin also pointed his gun at the guy but now it seemed he had his gun pointed at me.
My hands started to tremble
'you?' I asked astonished, betrayed, everything.
My mind went just completely blank
'I-I don't understand' I added but Jimin didn't respond.
It didn't make sense. He was with me previous times when the bank was robbed.
but on the other hand, I sometimes pondered for hours over the question to why they always slipped through our fingers.
They had a mole inside our own police force.
I didn't know what to do now. It took me so much by surprise, it was as if I couldn't think anymore. Should I point my gun at him now? Or at that other guy.
The other guy confidently took a step backwards to continue his way out.
'Stop or I will fucking shoot' I shouted at him
'y/n drop the gun now' Jimin pleaded but with panic in his voice.
He wasn't as calm and collected as I had known him to be ever since I met him.
'No!' I shouted at him while continuing pointing the gun at the guy. I couldn't let this guy go. He could be the one that killed Jin.
No I couldn't let either of them go.
Jimin was as much as an accomplice to that fact.
'Chim' The guy let out, or rather he implored as if he wanted to say that Jimin had to make a choice.
Chim? how close were they?
'Jim, you're a police officer, you can't let him go. It's not what we do.' I pleaded.
I saw the doubt on Jimin's face. His eyes switching between me and that other guy. As if he had really no idea who to point his gun at. I could even see his hands tremble a bit, which honestly is a first for Jimin.
There was a pause.
'I am so sorry' Jimin's voice echoed through the room and then the loud pang of a gunshot
