14 - Crush

I sat next to his hospital bed. The doctor had to stitch everything up, it would leave quite a scar. I stared at his arms.

  'Why did you do that crazy guy?' I asked puzzled.

He looked a bit doubtful but then his eyes changed with this certain seriousness  

      'y/n...ever since the academy.. you held a special place in my heart, I know we lost contact but I can't deny that seeing you, and spending time with you again made those feelings return.'

Me face heated up, no my entire body did.

      'I uh-uh' I stammered because his words were definitely making me shy. he laid his hand on my arm, the one of his not hurt arm.

     'You don't have to say anything, I just wanted to tell you.'

I laid my hand on his

    'Thank you for saving me and for telling me.'

He didn't respond but just gazed at me.

I stayed until he was cleared again. He didn't have to stay the night at the hospital or anything. It was a pretty bad cut but the thing he needed was rest. Gina had already instructed him to take a few days off.

That night I stared at my bedroom ceiling. Having troubles getting to sleep. So much happened again. I hadn't had a clue of Jungkook's feelings. Which was pretty blind of me I suppose. Even now I didn't notice it at all.

I stared ahead going over old memories. 

Flashback

     'y/n, are they even feeding you at that academy? you look like you've lost weight.' Jin said while hugging me.

     'I am fineee jin'

       'Luckily for you your best friend is an amazing cook. here sit down I'll make you something.'

Jin made his way towards his kitchen and started to collect some pans and ingredients.

     'You really don't have to jinnie.' I replied but he waved his hands, a way to indicate I should shut up about it.

He started cutting ingredients but in the meanwhile kept talking.

     'Is there any interesting gossip, is there a guy you like? I mean the majority are men right?'

Jungkook immediately popped up in my mind, how he was drinking his banana milk while being emerged into the books we needed to study.

    'There is someone' jin indicated while narrowing his eyes. 

My cheeks flustered

    'ohhhh you're blushing' he said while pointing at me

    'Who is it?'

    'Just a guy, but he is a bit nerdy and shy but he is so cute and smart and attentive.'

     'nerdy?' he asked

     'yeah just ...'

I wasn't too sure how to explain.

Jin laughed 'you know that's why we would never work, I am too cool for you.'

I laughed as well , Jin shook his head and still with a smile

   'You did have a thing for the nerdy cute guys in highschool too, until you suddenly went for the cold unapproachable ones. I am glad to see you back at the nerdy ones.'
