David's POV

I saw Kyra walk in half an hour ago with the receptionist from downstairs and I felt myself grow red in anger.

She lied to me!

There's definitely no sick grandmother. She doesn't strike me as the type that would go out for drinks and giggle while a relative of hers was ill. Which leads me to believe that she lied to me.

I shouldn't care, I barely know the girl. And it is after working hours. But something about the fact that she would rather lie than spend an evening with me kind of hurt my ego a little bit.

I watched her from the discreet corner I was sat at, from the moment she walked in, till the moment she went to the toilet. I decided then that'd I'd follow her and possibly confront her.

I excused myself from the table, leaving the two drunk men there to continue sucking down the whiskey they were drinking.

I waited by a corner outside the toilets, for when she would come out. I didn't even know what I'd say to her or if I'd say anything at all.

She walked out and I followed her. She must have heard me following her because she turned around and looked at me.

Then I saw her freeze. She looked at me with so much fear in her eyes and I drank it all in. It made me feel happy knowing she was scared of what I would do about her lying to me.

I decided to ask her how her grandmother was doing, to see if she'd keep lying to me or not.

"Mr Coleman, w-w-what are you doing here?" She stuttered.

"Drinks with my business partners, what are you doing here, Miss White", I asked raising an eyebrow.

"I-I, I'm", she stuttered yet again.

I then cut her off and strode towards her, "be careful what your next words are Princess, because I do not like liars".

I walked closer to her and she moved back with every step I took until she was backed up on the wall.

I moved one last step towards her then placed my arms on the wall and pinned her to the wall. "Now, I'll ask again Princess, why are you here?"

"I-I'm here for drinks with Tiffany, I'm sorry I lied to you and said I had to go see my grandmother. You see, the thing is I was scared of having drinks with you and your business partners, so I had to find a way out", she blabbered on and on.

I chuckled a bit and licked my lips as I looked at her lips moving while she spoke. I wanted to taste them so bad but I kept myself in check.

I was still towering over her as I am 6'3" and she looked to me like she was around 5'10". I reached down and titled her chin up so that she was looking directly at me.

God she was so beautiful and sinful. I wanted her so bad. I drank in her scent, she smelled sweet and fruity.

I watched as her breathing hiked and her cheeks flushed red. She then looked at my lips as she licked hers. And that was when I knew I was done for.

I leaned down and tried to kiss her but she blurt out something that made me stop instantly.

"I have a boyfriend", she said. Causing me to step back and give her some space.

"Very well then Miss White, enjoy the rest of your night. I will see you at work tomorrow morning", I said walking away.

I'm a lot of things, but I'm not the kind of guy who goes after other people's women.

And I promised myself right then that whatever attraction I felt towards Kyra was only physical and therefore wasn't worth breaking that rule.
