David's POV

I was in the middle of a call with a jewellery dealer who was helping me get a custom made engagement ring for Kyra when the receptionist I now know as Tiffany burst into my office looking distraught, with a guy who wore a hard and dark look following closely behind her. My first thoughts were , why the hell does this girl think it's okay to bring people to my office, wtf are they doing here and where's my girl?.

Then I looked up at Tiffany and saw that she had a bruise on her face. Was this jerk abusing her?
I didn't know the girl very well but she was my employee and my girlfriends best friend and the idea of her being a human punching bag didn't sit right with me. What kind of coward lays his hand on a woman.

I hung up the phone and asked if I could help them. It was then that Tiffany burst into tears. "Okay wtf is going on here? Why is she crying? And where's Kyra?". I asked looking directly at the guy with a cold look.

"He.. He.. He took her" she said between sobs.

WTF

"What do you mean he took her? Who took her? Is it this guy you brought with you here? Where the fuck is my girl?" I shouted while standing up and heading towards Tiffany.

As soon as I was close to her the guy took a step in her direction and stood at his full height in front of me. We were around the same height so we stood face to face. "Whatever you're thinking of doing, be careful not to touch or upset my woman anymore than she already is and lower your voice when you talk to her" the guy warned.

The rational side of me said I should probably calm down and ask questions calmly to avoid problems but knowing Kyra may be in trouble, all I could see was red. "Listen man, I don't know who you are but you don't get to come into my office and threaten me. My woman is supposed to be out with your woman. Now she's here telling me someone took her and I think I have the right to know who this "he" she's talking about is".

"It's okay Enzo", a small voice came from behind the strange man. "Please move over so I can talk to him". The guy moved. She wiped her tears and cleared her throat, "We we're on our way to the car when Kyra's ex Jayden appeared out of nowhere and got violent. He hit me really hard when I tried to fight him and I lost consciousness, when I woke up both of them were gone."

"He left everything there, her phone and car are downstairs, Enzo got someone to drive it here from the restaurant. I called him when I gained consciousness and he came to get me and brought me here." She continued.

Every word that came out of her mouth hit me hard. I've never been a violent man but in that moment I wish I had killed that boy the last time I saw him. He took my princess and my little monkey. Soon as that thought crossed my head, something inside me snapped.

I grabbed my phone and work bag from the desk and dashed out the door to the lift, leaving both Kyra and the Enzo guy in my office. I wasn't sure where I was going or how I would get my girl back, but I wasn't going to sit around and wait. I'd turn the whole world upside down for her.

I clicked the button on the lift as many times as I could even though the lift opened a few seconds later. I jumped in and just when it was about to close, an arm reached over and kept it open. The doors opened again and Enzo walked in followed by Tiffany. I gave them a dirty look because they were wasting precious time. Who knows what that sick boy has done to Kyra by now.

Tiffany offered an apologetic smile before she told me that Enzo knew where Kyra and Jayden were.

"How do you know" I asked him confused.

"I have friends that are good at finding people, they're not that far from here, it's about an hours drive, we can use my car to get there, it'll be safer for everyone. If anything happens when we get there, the car won't be traced back to us." he responded while looking blankly at me.
