Kyra's POV
I walked into my office and closed the door then leaned my forehead against it.
Way to make a good first impression Kyra!
I turned around and looked at my office. It was nice and simple and I wouldn't really have to make any major changes to it. I just needed to personalise it a little bit.
I decided I needed to get on with my job, and show Mr Coleman that hiring me was a great decision and I would be invaluable to his company.
I opened my computer and started familiarising myself with how everything worked, and I also sorted out and familiarised myself with Mr Coleman's schedule.
I was so consumed by my work I didn't even hear the knock on my door.
It wasn't until I felt a looming presence over me that I withdrew myself from my work. I looked up and was met by Mr Coleman looking down at me with curious eyes.
God, he was so tall and he smelled so good!
I drank in his scent and he smelled expensive and masculine. He stood at 6'3" and was all kinds of sinful. His work pants hung tightly and belted on his waist and his crispy white shirt had its sleeves rolled up and the top 3 buttons undone, showing a bit of his chest.
Oh to run my tongue on that chest!
Wait what? Where did that come from smh.
"You can take your lunch break now, we have a staff canteen, but you're welcome to go anywhere during your lunch break, as long as you're back on time. And Miss White, I'd appreciate it if you stopped looking at me like that, I am not on the lunch menu", those were the words I heard as I was jolted out of my reverie.
I blushed in embarrassment and Mr Coleman chuckled a bit and then smiled smugly.
"Thank you Sir", I muttered as I grabbed my handbag and got ready to go on my lunch break.
I walked out of my office, with Mr Coleman on my heels. He sauntered into his office while I went the opposite way.
When I reached the canteen I realised I wasn't even hungry, so I had a chicken Caesar salad, an apple and a bottle of water.
The canteen was full and loud as everyone was chatting through their meals.
I looked around for an empty table and couldn't find one. I was just about to give up and go eat in my office when Tiffany showed up and asked me to sit with her.
We found an empty table at the far corner of the room and sat down.
"So spill girl, how's your first half of your first day here, is the boss driving your crazy yet?" She asked looking straight into my eyes and not blinking.
"He's alright, although I do keep embarrassing myself around him." I said face palming myself.
She smiled and raised her eyebrows before asking what I had done.
I told her that he had caught me checking him out, not once but twice.
Tiffany burst out laughing and I ended up laughing along with her.
"Girl, that man is fine as hell, I'd be worried if you didn't at least check him out once", she said reassuringly.
"I have a boyfriend, so I can't really be checking other men out, it's not right", I said wondering why it was so easy to talk to this stranger I literally met this morning.
"Girl, it's okay to window shop sometimes, as long as you don't buy anything" she said while winking at me.
We carried on our conversation over our meal and she told me more about the company and how everything works and who we're supposed to like and not like. It felt good having someone nice to talk to on my first day and I was glad Tiffany had had lunch with me.
I dreaded going back into my office but told myself I had to be strong and not check my boss out should I see him again before I go home.
The rest of the day went by quite fast and before I knew it, it was time to go home.
I haven't seen Mr Coleman since lunchtime and I'm glad I didn't.The drive back home was quick and I couldn't wait till I could have a nice long shower and slip into some nice pjs and have some food.
Today was a lot!
