*Kyra's POV*

I drove around with no sense of direction whatsoever. My vision was clouded by all the tears in my eyes and I made a silent prayer that I don't cause an accident.

I had nowhere to go, Jayden was all I had.
I'm an only child and my parents died when I was 18 and I've pretty much been responsible for myself since then.

I decided the only option I had was drive to the office and see if I could get Tiffany's phone number and maybe she'd let me stay over at hers for a bit.

Through tears I drove to the office and the security guard let me in after asking me a lot of useless questions. I walked into the reception and asked the guard there if I could go up to my office as I had something I had to finish

He asked if the boss knew and I said yes and he let me go up.
When I got to my office I went through staff records and found Tiffany's phone number.

I rang her and got her voicemail. I tried again about 10 times before I gave up. This was definitely the worst day of my life.

I got off my chair, tried to walk out but only managed to walk into a corner, curl myself into a ball and bawl my eyes out.

I cried until I had no my tears and fell asleep with my head in between my knees.

I was still sleeping when I felt something get wrapped around me and felt myself getting picked up.

I knew who it was before I even opened my eyes. His intoxicating smell was hypnotic. He wrapped my arm around his neck and picked me up bridal style and walked out of my office. He got into the elevator and gently placed me in his car when we got to the parking lot. Then he came in and drove us to his house.

Nothing got said the entire time. I was still trying to wrap my head around the whole night.

His house was big and beautiful but I had no time to even appreciate it because my head hurt from all the crying.

When we got inside his house. He sat me down on a stool on the kitchen island. And put a glass of water in front of me. I drank it all in one go and he plugged on the kettle and starting making two sandwiches.

When he was done, he placed the sandwich and a cup of tea in front of me. Then he sat next to me with a glass of whiskey and a sandwich.

I wanted to give him a judgemental look but didn't have the energy too.
I ate and when I was done, drank my tea in one go as it wasn't as hot anymore.

When he saw that I was done, he cleared the dishes and placed them in the sink. Then walked over to me, grabbed my hand and walked me up the stairs.

He opened the door to the first room at the top of the stairs and switched on the light. It was all regally white and I felt I wasn't clean enough to be in there. He opened up the covers and helped me in then tucked me in.

I felt all the weight on my shoulders lift off and I felt myself drift off almost immediately. "Thank you", I murmured.

He stroked my cheek and gave me a soft kiss on my forehead, then walked off. Soon as he turned off the light and shut the door. I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up in the morning feeling well rested and refreshed. I opened my eyes and realised I was in a foreign environment. I sat up and all the memories from last night all came flooding back.

Jayden, me being stranded, David helping me.

David!

Omg I'm in Davids house. The realisation hit very hard. He saw me at my worst. I got off the bed and ran to the bathroom and checked myself in the mirror.

I looked horrible. I turned on the sink and washed the dried tears off my face and tried to fix my hair.
When I felt I looked half decent. I went back into the room.

The house was very quiet and I was suddenly aware of the fact that I might be alone in here.
