Chapter 20: Battle of the Gods

As Ryuga opened his eyes from his long slumber, he was met with the familiar ceiling of Maya's bedroom. He looked to his left to find his lover sleeping peacefully. He smiled and sat upright. It was at that same moment, that his phone buzzed. He picked it up off the nightstand and opened the screen. 

Ryuga: "From Tatsuya?"

The message read:

Tatsuya: "Up for a duel? Come by Master Kokonoe's dojo at 10 AM."

Ryuga: "How did he just so happen to message me as soon as I woke up? Well, whatever."

Ryuga just sent a quick "Got it" message back to Tatsuya. He looked at the time on his pendant. 8:11 AM. 

Maya: "Hmm?"

Hearing Maya's adorable groan, he looked back at her. She was just waking up and rubbing her eyes.

Ryuga: "Good morning, My Queen."

Maya: "Good morning." She yawned while stretching her arms. "I'm quite tired."

Ryuga: "Because you were out late last night. What stroll did you take?"

Maya: "Before that, let's get woken up. What do you say, want to hop in the shower with me?"

Ryuga licked his lips and held a hand up to Maya's cheek.

Ryuga: "Here, let me carry you."

Maya: "My, so thoughtful."

He picked her up just as a knight does to a princess and started walking towards the shower. After opening and closing the door with his foot, he let Maya down. Without warning, and, frankly surprising Ryuga, Maya quickly jerked at Ryuga's pants. Unable to withstand the force, his poor pants fell, helplessly, to the floor.

Ryuga: "So aggressive this early in the morning?"

Maya: "Why?" She traced a lean finger down his chest, towards his waist. "Is it bad?"

Ryuga: "No." He grabbed her back and pulled her closer to him. "I never said that."

The two lovebirds shared a kiss so passionate that the rest of their clothes somehow "fell" off. Maya grabbed Ryuga's hand and led him into the shower. She turned away from him and turned the water on. As the water droplets rained down upon Maya's jet-black hair and porcelain skin, she looked back at her lover.

Maya: "Why don't you start with..." She placed Ryuga's hands on her bare hips. "Washing my back?"

Ryuga: "As you wish, My Queen."

After the couple finished... washing, they sat in Maya's office, facing each other. Maya explained what she had done the previous night, while Ryuga listened with serious eyes. After she finished informing him of the situation, she placed her teacup down on the table.

Ryuga: "Hmm, quite a stroll." He heaved a heavy sigh. "So Blanche knows huh? Well, I guess it's expected. I really shouldn't have shown my identity. Man, things are going to get quite complicated."

Maya: "Well, you know that you can always lie low here as my personal bodyguard."

Ryuga: "Speaking of that, I'm not sure who dared try to assassinate you earlier this week, but I can't just let that slide."

Maya: "Well, we both have many enemies. It would be hard to narrow it down to which it is."

Ryuga: "Yes. In that case, should we just burn down all of those fools?"
