The sun was hidden long ago. Darkness sprawled out from within the crevices of the abandoned warehouse. Ryuga awoke to the sound of the floor creaking. Or perhaps it was a rat squeaking; he wasn't sure. Either way, he was awake now. Ryuga rolled off the hard table he was sleeping on and placed his feet on the floor. After wiping his eyes, he looked toward Maya.

Ryuga: "Maya, you awake?"

Two beautiful eyes opened and set themselves on Ryuga.

Maya: "Yes. What time is it?"

Ryuga took a peek at his pendant, displaying the time.

Ryuga: "2 AM. We should get started."

Maya: "All right."

She hopped off her own table and walked over to the planning desk. Once again, she opened the large suitcase and unrolled the map. She pointed to the lowest floor of the tower.

Maya: "Best bet is he's here, but, worst case scenario, he has traps through here and here."

She pointed again towards other floors within the tower, showing Ryuga the most likely areas to have traps.

Ryuga: "Well, it's not like I thought this would be easy. Maybe we should have called in reinforcements after all."

Maya: "It's a bit too late for that now. We were already attacked once. If we wait for allies, who knows how many more assaults we'll have to survive through."

Ryuga: "Yeah, I know."

He took another glance at the map and lifted an eyebrow.

Ryuga: "What's this?"

He pointed to a small X located on the lowest floor, a bit away from the separate X designating their target's most likely location.

Maya: "Frankly, we have no idea. It's extremely heavily guarded. We haven't even been able to run infrared scans into it. Not just that, we've tried many different types of scans and have all been unable to pass through into that section. My analysts think that it's probably a secret laboratory of some sort."

Ryuga: "Well that just sounds wonderful." He rolled his eyes. "We should probably destroy it if it's too dangerous."

Maya: "Agreed. With it being so close to his personal quarters, there's no way it's just a playground. Moving on, we have to get through all these floors and however many traps and guards just to get to him. I've also been told that they have radiation scanners at every entrance and exit. You know what that means right?"

Ryuga: "Shit, yeah. No sneaking in even if we went invisible. Damn them."

Maya: "Well, that's within our expectations. Still, with this much security, it might just be one of the most secure places on the planet. Makes you wonder what exactly they are hiding in that laboratory."

Ryuga: "Whatever it is, it can't be good. We have to get in there and stop this, once and for all. I've waited far too long for this moment. No going back now."

Maya: "And I'll be joining you on this expedition."

She placed her hand on top of his and rubbed her thumb across it. Ryuga took her hand and placed a kiss on it.

Ryuga: "Thank you. I'm not sure if I'd be able to do all this myself."

Maya: "Of course. A wife must help her future husband, no?"

Ryuga blushed red as a tomato as Maya chuckled. However, their faces soon sterned up as they got back to the task at hand.

Ryuga: "So I think we should take this back entrance. It looks like the least defended because of its odd placement."
