Chapter 6: Tatsuya the Engineer

Ryuga was on, what looked like, a high-tech soccer field, with his male classmates. They were competing against another class, but Ryuga didn't really understand the game, so he'd just been running around cluelessly. Of course, he knows that he's supposed to kick the ball whenever it's given to him; however, he doesn't know where to kick it. With that, his team has been avoiding giving the ball to Ryuga, an understandable option.

Mikihiko, Ryuga's acquaintance, scored the final point and won the game. After it was over, Ryuga walked off to quickly take off the head-protector, and Mikihiko followed him.

Ryuga: "Nice shot."

Mikihiko: "Thanks. I happen to be pretty good when it comes to this game."

Ryuga: "Way better than me, I still can't figure it out."

Before they noticed it, Tatsuya and Leo had walked over to them. Leo was wiping himself off with a towel, but Tatsuya wasn't sweating at all.

Tatsuya: "Nice play."

Leo: "Way to go, Yoshida!"

Ryuga: "Wasn't it? Mikihiko's awesome isn't he?"

Tatsuya: "Oh, you guys are on a first-name basis?"

Mikihiko: "Well I don't really like my last name. So you all can just call me Mikihiko."

Leo: "All right, got it, Mikihiko. You can call me Leo."

Tatsuya: "Needless to say, you can call me Tatsuya."

Mikihiko: "Okay, Leo, Tatsuya. The truth is, Ryuga and I have known each other ever since our first day here."

???: "Is that so?"

Said Erika, who just appeared behind Ryuga.

Ryuga: "SHIT!" 

He grabbed ahold of Tatsuya... again. Once he knew it was Erika, he let go quickly and adjusted his uniform, while looking away.

Erika: "Looks like I got you again! Anyway, I guess you could call Miki and me childhood friends. So it's surprising I didn't hear about your friendship before today." She came into view of everyone, showing her bloomers, and Leo and Mikihiko blushed. "Although he has been ignoring me for the past couple of months."

Tatsuya: "Is that right?"

Mikihiko: "E-Erika! Why are you dressed like that?!" 

Leo was nodding in approvement of her outfit, and Erika looked confused.

Erika: "What? This is a traditional girl's training outfit."

Mikihiko: "Traditional?"

Tatsuya: "You sure? I think those spats are designed rather unusually."

Erika/Ryuga: "These/Those aren't spats, they're bloomers!"

Everyone looked at Ryuga with a surprised expression, as if to say, "How do you know about women's fashion?"

Ryuga: "What? I'm not completely stupid you know?"

Tatsuya: "Anyway, they sound like broom. Are those what you used to wear when you cleaned your house?"

Erika: "Of course not! I told you it's a girl's training outfit. And are we really just going to gloss over the fact that Ryuga knows more about fashion than the three of you combined?"

She looked over to the spot where Ryuga was, only to find empty foot indents on the grass.

Erika: "Geez, he's always disappearing." She said with an adorable pout.
