Fae was curious.

She was curious about the Umbreon next to her sister. She was curious about what her sister had to tell her; was it about this other Umbreon?

"What do you have to tell me, Neri? Is that the only reason why you're here? You didn't even come to see me?" Fae wondered as her eyes started filling up with tears.

Her mother ran over to her.

"Think positive thoughts, sweetie."

Fae nodded, though she spied some slight upset in Neri's eyes.

The four Pokémon quickly walked inside, and Izar closed the door swiftly.

"Come, come! There's cake, my darling! I'm so glad you decided to come! Fae is happy you showed up! Your friends and boyfriend are welcome as well!" Izar barked, using a paw to usher Neri to the table.

Neri glanced back at Fae, speaking swiftly as their mom pushed her over to a seat.

"Wait a minute, I need to speak to Fae about something."

"Whatever you need to say to Fae can be said in front of your parents, us, and your brothers and sisters. Now, Neri, explain to us why you're really here? You obviously aren't here just for the party. You need something, huh? You just don't care enough about us, huh? Your own family." Izar snarled.

Fae stepped closer to her sister who was gazing at the Umbreon beside her.

"Can we please stop talking about this? I would have thought you would have matured by now. I may be your daughter, but I also deserve to be happy. That's why I left. Besides the obvious fact that you keep us sheltered from the dangers of the world. Which there isn't as many dangers in this world as you may believe. Yes, dangers exists, but I expected you to trust I was strong enough to handle them. I'm not a child anymore, mom. And neither is Fae." Neri replied.

Was she implying something?

Izar barked her fangs at Neri upon hearing those words.

"Fae can stay here as long as she wants. She shouldn't be exposed to the outside world!" Izar snarled as she glared at her own daughter.

Fergus and Mauve glanced at each other. Or as much as they could because Mauve was blind.

"Shouldn't be exposed?! You keep her and everyone else here captive! You won't let your own thirty year old daughter out the house because of an event that happened in the past. I'm sure she can handle herself just as much as I can." Neri snarled, shoving her face closer to Izar's.

Fae felt her ears fold in fear.

Were they going to fight?

Fae prayed they wouldn't. She had no idea why they would fight over her. She wasn't worth it.

Her freedom wasn't worth it.

The Umbreon right next to Neri stepped in between the two fighting Eeveelutions, calmly gazing at them despite the circumstances.

"I'm sorry to break up this lovely conversation, but I think Neri has something important to tell Fae, was it?"

The way the Umbreon talked sounded professional, yet there was a silly expression on his face.

Fae nodded, thankful at least someone was willing to shut down this argument.

The two Pokémon stiffened up.

Neri relaxed while Izar's lip curled.

"You don't tell me what to do. You're still pretty young yourself."
