Chapter 2 - We meet again

I fell to my knees and my breathing slowed, looking up at Yelena, I smiled, glad to see my friend again. "Y/N... Thank you." Her eyes watered as held her arms open, she was like a sister to me. I nodded politely and hugged her lightly, as her hands touched my skin I shuddered and stepped back. She smiled weakly as I scanned the crowd. No Natasha. "Is she okay? Is Natasha okay?" I asked, looking down at the all-grown-up girl I once saved. Her hair was messy but tied well into French braids behind her. "I haven't seen her personally in a few weeks. She's a hero to the world, part of the Avengers right now." She replied, a hint of anger in her voice. "She lied to the world. Said she took down the red room." I looked into her brown eyes and knew instantly that she was stuck; even after her claims of it being destroyed...

"How old are you now?"

"24, why?"

"You've grown." I smiled sarcastically.

"Ah shut up. You're only 20!"

We share a loving look and smile once more.

"We must get going, these girls need a life."

"May I join you? I know nearly all the other locations."

She hesitates and shrugs, "I don't want you hurt. You haven't been out of there in a while."

I raise my eyebrows, "He's taken me places. Thinks of me as a prize to be shown off."

She squeezes my arm gently, "Y/N... You're never one for giving up, are you? We'll think about it."

I grin and then I get the other girls, the few of up jump into the sort of helicopter, just enough space for the 8 of us. As Yelena and... "ALEXEI?!" I jump at the sight of him. Yelena looks back at me and nods. I shake my head in disgust. I sit on the floor as the journey wherever we're going seems to be quite far.

It has been 2 hours, I feel we're going to a sort of base or camp they've set up. "Where is Melina?" I ask, most of the girls asleep as the sunrise welcomes the morning. "Ah she's where we're going, we're just running some health checks on you all and then we're asking 'mR tOnY stArK' for some funding for this." I grin, she's still the sarcastic friend I remember.

"Soo.. can I join you?" I ask once more, she sighs and looks at me sympathetically,
"It's really dangerous, Y/N... You have a life to live."
"I thrive in danger! This is a life with you!"
"You could die."
"As long as I die in a cool way!"
"They'll get you again."
"Then we'll be there together and escape again!"
"саркастическая принцесса" -sarcastic princess- she rolls her eyes, grinning.
"Is that a yes then?"
"Well obviously I'll have to run tests on you like training and I wanna go to Natasha soon too."

I smile, pulling my leg up, groaning, "Damn I wish I hadn't saved myself sometimes," smiling at Yelena as she nodded, "I wish you hadn't saved me from it too sometimes, she thumped her head on the seat, "It hurts so fking bad."
"Ya think? Do you have someone?" I ask excitedly, I hadn't been able to ask anyone this question but I remember I was always quite the matchmaker.
"We've talked about this! I just have a good friend Bucky from the Avengers and I want a dog!"
"Ahh really good friend, huh?" I smirk
"What about you, dipshit?"
"He'd say I was better than the rest, fking toxic realationshippp!" I reply, singing the last two words.
There was silence the rest of the time excluding some of Alexei's jokes.

We were finally there, I told Yelena to let the girls sleep themselves and as I was the last to leave, I put them in comfortable clothes, shutting my eyes as I placed a strong illusion of normal clothes. Yelena couldn't know about me... Not yet at least.
