Chapter 15 - Weeks

A week and a few days had passed since Loki had left for Asgard with Thor. I had been talking to Thor through the phone I had bought for him with a few adjustments for Asgard. He assured me Loki was fine and they'd return soon but I had not heard from him in 2 days now. Yes, they are princes but... My thoughts are interrupted by a loud alarm from Friday, alerting an attack. Finally, something else to do. I breathe out, magically shifting to my suit and rushing down with the others. Yelena had left by now and Capsicle, Dad, Mr Banner AND Bucky had left for an important mission. It was up to Natasha, Wanda, Clint, Sam and me I. Vision was rebooting. Sam was left the leader and we had split up, unaware how big of an attack this could potentially be. We were given earpieces and I was to attack from high, Wanda was mid-air with Natasha from building tops with Clin and the Falcon was switching up.

"Ah, they sent the inexperienced ones!" A low voice called.

Natasha was fighting the other boys he had brought with him and Wanda was aiming for his larger weapons. Clint and I were at it for the big guy. The leader. Falcon watched over and helped the civilians.

"Koral, do you copy? Over," Falcon said to me as I was circling him from above and had him floating above the ground.

"I do. Any idea why this guy wants me? Anyone? Over," I scoff as he looks so helpless danging above the ground.

Clint took a few shots at him and he was unconscious but I was careful to keep a distance, continuing to keep him afloat with my powers. I used my eyes to lift the other boys he brought to make it easier for Nat. Suddenly there was an earsplitting crash and a towering building began to tumble down. I rolled my shoulder back and nodded at Sam for approval to hand that. I pushed the guy over to Clint who had it under control with him as a few more boys were being fought by Natasha since they were quite weak.

"Wanda! Come with me, there are a lot of people there. I'll need you to help keep it upright. Falcon, if you are open, I'd appreciate your help with the people on the lower floors? Over," I quickly say, zooming over there as the two rush to my side.

I get closer to the building and seal it slowly and effectively as there are hundreds of eyes watching me with awe. I focus on the job and finish quickly, testing its stability before letting myself fall to the ground, helping a few stuck people under some trees. I gently heal them since many only have a few scratches or minor cuts. Falcon additionally receives a lot of thanks and the news reporters begin to arrive. Leaving the press for tomorrow. Many of these boys are disappeared - deceased - with magic by me.

We bring the guy in for questioning but he seems to have some sort of power too and gets away. I have a feeling that won't be the last we see of those people.

We are all back at the tower and I had made Italian spaghetti and fettuccine for all of us.

"You think we should be concerned?" Wanda asks as I bring the forks.

"I mean they seemed pretty weak to me," Natasha replies with confidence, beginning to eat like Sam and Clint.

I sigh, sitting on the couch, "I agree, however, I am confident we are underestimating them. That man had magic, a decently powerful one like Mr Strange. I expect a return too. They want to harm the earth,"

I get nods from the others and start eating myself as I allow my mind to wander back to Loki and Thor. I pick at my food, feeling a bit sick after not seeing someone I made out with just before his leaving. I finish chewing my first forkful, "Hey have any of you heard from Loki or Thor? How long does Thor normally take to come back?"

"Eh, they should be here in another week or 2. They are royals after all. Plus, I'm pretty sure that Thor is thinking to propose to Jane so they might be wedding planning," Clint replies with a sly smile.
