I groaned, a scratchy car seat behind my back, I wake up in my combat clothes and 3 packed bags around me. I shot up, ready to fight until I looked over to my side - Yelena - I sighed, smiling as I looked at her lovingly.

"It's 7 am! You passed out two days ago," She rolled her eyes at the shock on my face, "oH mY mEn hOw aM i nOt dEaD," she laughed, driving on as the city came into view. "I got you a doctor, and you were okay to fly... Everything is here, don't worry." My eyes sparkled at the morning city, a beautiful sunrise lighting up the glass towers, I was in awe.
"It's beautiful... isn't it?" She chuckled filled with heart.
"It is absolutely gorgeous." I breathed, my eyes darting around all the building, staring up at the heights and gasping at all the smiling people and couples together, I smiled through the window at little children. She opened the windows and the fresh morning air gushed in as I gulped it in, laughing as I saw Yelena cough at the sudden gush. I let my wet hair out which I assumed Yelena washed to be presentable. It flew in the wind as I smiled at everyone, getting grins back from many people. I breathed in the fresh air once more as the car slowly came to a stop.

She closed the windows and I stepped out, twirling under the rising sun as the towering buildings swirled above me, I smiled widely, going to help with the bags. I bent over and grabbed 2 bags, Yelena having already taken one for me. She held out an outstretched hand as I took it, breathing in sharply, remembering the reason I was here. An escort arrived and she marvelled at our beauty and my radiating energy, she smiled back as I grinned at her, so pleased to be here with Yelena.

We were taken up by an Elevator and I stared around, Yelena squeezing my hand after realising I was shaking. Smiling sheepishly I nodded thanks as the elevator came to a halt, the door opening slowly as a band of older adults with a smiling redhead in the middle. I froze, all eyes on us.

She squeezed my hand again, bringing me back to reality. I made a finger gun with my hand and sheepishly shot it at Natasha and Yelena and they shot back, it was silent before a loud crash was heard as someone came crashing in through the roof. "TONY! I HEARD WE HAD A VISITOR? AM I LATE?" He said heartily which made me smile. "H-Hello, you must be Sir Thor?" I ask, curtseying at him and he is taken aback by my formality. "And you must be Lady Y/N, welcome." He replies, smiling gently. I turn towards the others and bow, "Y/N L/N, pleased to meet you all, I have seen great things out of this group of people, I aspire to assist." I say, raising from my bow. Natasha winces at the effect on me, far from the girl she remembered, she steps forward.

"N/N." She smiles, pulling up another finger gun and pressing it to her head as Yelena joins in.

"Nat." I chuckle softly, raising my own finger gun. We all bang them and giggle gently to one another as the others watch in awe. She steps behind me with Yelena, fingers intertwined in both of theirs.

"Tony Stark." A man steps forward with a raised eyebrow. I flinch, before collecting myself and shaking it softly, "A gentle handshake?" he asks suggestively. I tighten my grip so much so he shies away. I smirk at him, proving my worth to one of them.

A beautiful girl steps forward with beautiful ginger hair and a kind smile, she twists her hands up to reveal a ruby glow, out of instinct I return a dazzling F/C glow out of my hands and she smiles, twists the two colours together. The others stare at the mixing pattern, it bursting open into mini fireworks. "Wanda Maximoff." She introduces, "I hope you and I become close." she smiles once again with a twinkle and I reply, "I do hope so too." With a glowing smile.

I am introduced to each one of the people here and they all slowly leave me alone with Yelena and Natasha. I lean into a more comfortable standing position, grinning at the two.
"You have powers, Princessa?" Nat raises an eyebrow.
"That's why I brought her here... She was still in there when I found her." Yelena replies quickly.
"What's going to happen to me?" I ask, worried.
"You'll be joining the Avengers, Y/N." They reply in sync.

I'm in my new room which is pre-decorated with my favourite colours and patterns by Natasha. I'm running over all the rules and regulations which honestly is not a lot. I read over them all and smile at the informal language and personalised adjustments. The trio of Yelena, Natasha and Wanda knock on my door. I see through it and open the door happily, just having finished packing too. I smile warmly at them and soon enough we all are sitting on my bed, listening intently about our pasts and playing with each other's hair. I can't wait for this to be a habit.

I allow Wanda to read my mind since I don't want to repeat the horror as Yelena tells Natasha about me too. We fill in more gaps until the sun begins to even up and Yelena's stomach rumbles as she laughs, "Could we eat something? Y/N skipped breakfast." She says, standing up with newly braided hair. Nat and Magic get up beside her, each with beautifully done hair too. I gulp slightly and stare at the time, it was only 12:30 pm. I ate at 1:30. I shook my head and forced a smile, "I'm not really hungry... I eat my food at 1:30." Natasha shoots Yelena a pained look as Magic stares at me, confused.

"How many meals do you have a day, N/N?" Her smile turns into a worried look.

"1...? Why?" I ask, scoffing.

She turns to Yelena and Natasha with a furrowed brow. "Y/N, people normally have 3."

I gulp. I wasn't underfed... Was I? I begin laughing, not taking it seriously, "Cmon, Yelena... Natasha. You know that's not true!" I smile, expecting smiles back but I only get concerned looks.

"He didn't feed you like the rest of us?" Yelena asks slowly.

"I remember having at least 2 meals a day..." Natasha gulps, stepping towards me.

"Do not tell me I must eat additional meals." I step back from them as I stare at my hands, darting my eyes across the room, "Teach me your ways and I shall learn." I look back up at them, with a straight face, Yelena bursting into tears immediately, falling into Natasha's arms as they walk out, leaving me with Wanda.

"I was like that too. They kept me, I was taken here, we'll look after you. Everyone in this building will." She smiles gently, sitting next to me on my bed. "He underfed me too," Wanda adds quietly.

I can't help but smile as I drape my body around her and cry as we read our minds on the horror we endured. Torture and routine became a habit for years until one day we were released and given a choice to save or to be graved.

We sat there running each other powers on our minds until we both were on our knees, choking tears for one another. My phone rang and it was 1:30. I looked up at her and we slowly rose to see the others once again. They would have been informed of my ability by now. I had to be the one to talk.

My Fireball.

My Sunshine.

My new Magic.

My family.
