Ugh! At this point in time, I would give anything to go back in time to and stop the person who decided school would be a good idea.

I mean, yea sure education is a good thing but the formulas and criteria we have to achieve and memorize is just...wrong. And for what? To never use it ever again in our lives.

That's it. Snacktime!

But before I can get up from my chair, my phone vibrates on top of my desk. I pick it up, it's a message from an unknown number. I open up the message;

Hey Yvette it's me, Ashley. I was thinking, we should totally hang out sometime, just the two of us. You know to get to know eachother more. Anyways I'll see you at school tomorrow and we can talk more about it then. Ciao.

Ashley? How did she get my number? I reread the text over making sure I'm not going crazy, then I decide to reply;

Sure I'm down for it.

I don't want to sound suspicious so I have to agree. Or she'll know something's wrong. I put my phone down and let out sharp sigh. And head down stairs.

-------------------------------------------------------------

"Bye dad!" I yell out from the living room, slinging my book bag over my shoulder. And mental checking things off my list, of things I need in the morning.

"I'm hurt. Truly. You never say good bye to your precious sibiling" Jonathen adds placing a hand on his heart looking anything but hurt.

He is currently laying on the couch flipping through the channels on TV. Sometimes I wonder if he really is the oldest.

"Why aren't you working? Your 20, you shouldn't be sprawled on the couch like that." I say gathering the last of my things.

"Worry not sissy. I have full intentions to start working soon, just not now. It's my vacation" he responds stretching his arms behind his head closing his eye lids.

I scoff, "sure". And I head out my door, I get a mini heart attack when I see none other than Cole leaning against his car, arms crossed over his chest.

"What-"

"Geez woman, what took you so long? It's been ages!" he exclaims throwing his hands in the air dramatically.

I furrow my eyebrows at him huffing. "What are you doing here?" I ask walking towards him, and look side to side and make sure no one would be watching us.

"I came to use your bathroom" he retorts sarcastically. "Why do you think? I'm here to pick you up" he says bluntly like it's the most natural thing in the world. Which by the way wasn't.

I examine him for a moment and meet his eye for a split second, and finally come to the realization. "What do you want?" I ask crossing my hands over my chest raising an eyebrow at him.

"Ouch" he murmers as he lifts himself off his car and stands up straight which makes me feel a million times shorter. "I don't want anything. Really" he says opening the car door for me.

After moments of just staring at eachother, I was the first to blink. And so I gave in and got inside.

Cole gets in and let's out a groan as he slams the car door. He starts the engine and drives out of my parking lot. Should I tell him about the text message I got from Ashley?

"So..Ashley texted me" I say facing forward, not turning to look at Cole's expression.

"What'd she say?" he asks surprisingly calm.
