I take in the warm summer air, closing my eyes and relaxing my back muscles against the cushion of my porch bench. On the weekend or during days I'm stressed out, I love to relax on my porch and and let go. I exhale slowly savoring the ecsatic joy I felt.. Nothing can ruin this moment.
"Yohoo~"
I spoke too soon, I don't need to open my eyes to know who it is. I keep my eyes closed pretending that I didn't hear anything. Maybe he will just go away.
Silence. Did that really just work? Wow, I'm like a god or something. But I just can't shake off the feeling that it's a bit too quite for Cole. Right now I'm deliberating weither I should open my eyes or not, maybe it was just my imagination and Cole is'nt really here. I decide to take a peek and open my eyelid slowly letting the sun's rays blind me in the process, that's when I see Cole's face inches away from mine giving me a coy smile. I shriek and jump up landing on the floor on my butt. Damn, that hurt! I look up to see Cole, with no restraint, laughing his butt off on the side. While I soothe mine.
He pants tryings to catch his breathe clutching his stomach but bursts into laughter again when he opens his eyes to see my face. I huff a sigh of annoyance and lift myself up rubbing my butt because of the impact.
"Heh, nice Pj's" He compliments in between chuckles, eyeing me up and down.
I look down at myself and stupidly realize I'm still wearing my blue duckling onsie. I clear my throat and undauntedly look up at him, "they are extremly comftorable for your information"
"I can see that" he chuckles once more, and plopping himself on the bench with his legs strecthed out on the seat. He lets out a sigh and closes his eyes sinking into the cushions with a smile plastered on his face. I cross my arms over my chest and tilt my head to the side. He opens only his right eye and peers at me, then closes it again smirking. This ticks me off.
"What do you want?" I ask hand on my hips, trying to keep my voice down because Jonathen and dad are still asleep-even though it's 12 in the afternoon-.
"I'm here to take you out, duh"
"I'm fine here thanks" I say trying to lift Cole's muscular legs off the bench, but he won't budge. He then sits up unexpectedly and looks me in the eye.
"I didn't ask you" he breathes solemnly. I bring my face back a bit. But what seemed to scare me was the stupid smirk on his face and a mischievous glint in his eyes. He then brings his arms around me and lifts me up over his shoulder, I let out a shriek and start punching him in the back protesting. He carries me like this to his car and plops me down onto the passenger seat. My butt stings a bit when it makes contact to the seat.
"When I'm with you, how is it that my butt gets hurt in the process" I say narrowing my eyebrows at him.
"Aw it's not only you, I have that effect on people". His ego, I swear. He starts the engine and at that moment is when I see Oliver coming out of his house to get his mail. He glances up and is taken back when he sees me. And Cole being the dumbass he is, turns and waves at Oliver.
Cole then faces me again and then reaches over and places a peck on the corner of my mouth, nearly missing it. I jump back with wide eyes, I don't have time to react because Cole drives off. It feels like I have lump stuck in my throat, because I can't seem to get my words out.
"Did he see that?" Cole asks me casually, completely clueless of expression at moment.
"I uh..". The contact I had with him shocked me, which is the reason why I'm lost for words. The whole thought of kissing never really crossed my mind. I'm not like most girls who make first kisses such a big deal, or who kiss all the time. "I don't know" I finally manage to say.
