Oliver and Cole we're going at each other like wolves. Slinging punches in every which directions."Guys!"I yelled out watching as Cole grabs Oliver by the collar pushing him back so he banged his side against the kitchen counter.Cole threw a punch at Oliver aiming straight for his face but to Oliver's luck he dodged it making Cole cry out when his fist connected with my marble counter top.
"Get off of him!"I yell out again not moving forward nor moving back.
"Dad wanted me to come in here to check if you guys were-" Jonathan stops in his tracks wide eyed. Cole and Oliver don't give him a second glance as they continue punching aimlessly at one another. "Get the fuck off of each other!" Jonathen trudges at them ripping them off each other like he was peeling a sticker that was stuck on paper. "What happened?! Did you two break a nail or what?!"
Cole nods his head towards Oliver, " he started it." Liar.
"I think it's time for Cole to go, I'll show him out." I grip onto Cole's wrist and tug him to the direction of the door. We pass by the dinner table and I quickly apologize for the noise.
"Goodbye nana. Hope I see you again." Cole says kissing the back of my grandma's hand. Nana smiles approvingly and winks up at me. God help me.
Everyone gets back to what they were doing as I walk Cole to the door.
"Well that was fun. We should do this again." He retorts sarcastically.I chuckle and shake my head, "not a chance."
He smiles down at me and naturally I smile back. "I originally came here to tell you something actually."
I raise my eyebrows and walk outside with him to my porch. We sit on the porch swing, it was silent just the two is us as we swung, you could here the creak of the swing as the metal chains clanked together. Should I say something or..?
"I like you."
Did I hear that right. Or am I just going crazy. I swear I had a dream just like this.
"What?" I ask
"I said that I like you." His green orbs bore into my brown ones with a look of desperation and hope as I try to utter my response. My heart felt weird. As if it had a life of its own, it wouldn't stop thumping. He like me? Me?!
Don't get things stuck in your head Yvette, maybe he means like a friend.
Oh but you want to be more than that.
No I can't
You didn't deny it. Just tell pig butt that you like him too and it won't end up a mess like mr. Bestfriend.
The corner of his lips go upward, "you're blushing."
"W-what?! No I'm not!" I slap his hand away as he reaches out to touch my face.
"About yesterday, the reason why you we were in the same bed was because I slept over. You were out of your mind drunk." He chuckles at the last part. "You don't have to worry we didn't do anything that could get you pregnant."
"I'm scared to ask but what did we do?" I ask crisscrossing my legs.
"I'll leave it to your imagination." He smirks getting up. "Anyways, that's all I wanted to say. I'll call you, happy thanksgiving Yvette."
He turns and walks off to his car and leaves the parking lot not looking back once. He likes me? I couldn't hide the smile that formed on my face as I replayed that sentence in my head.
