Get it together Yvette. Cole couldn't have possibly be talking about how I almost kissed him.
Cole's laughter died off after. I still had the blanket over my head too afraid to come out and show my face.
Its silent for a while until Cole clears his throat. "You know, even though you claim you don't like Oliver anymore. He still seems to be head over heels about you."
I keep the blanket over my head and respond bluntly. "No he doesn't shut up."
He contiues ignoring me."Your too oblivious to see it-"
"Look." I say finally lifting the cover off my head and turning to him. I still haven't cooled off yet so I wouldn't know if he would take my flustered face as serious.
"We are just friends, he has made that clear since the day I confessed.""I hope so." I hear him mumble to the side. I was about to ask him what he meant but he was quick to change the subject. "You never really told me when the day of your friend's party was, Nicole was it?"
"Yeah, its this- wait what makes you think you're going in this state?!" I point to his bandage that was wrapped around his head.
He scoffs waving it off. "Oh please I'm fine."
I shake my head in protest. "You're not going." I state bluntly.
He scrunches up his face in confusion. "What do you mean I'm not going? Are you saying that we're staying in-""No. I mean that I'm going alone to my best friend's birthday and you're going to finish healing."
"Yvette I'm going." He insists sternly.
"No, you are not." I respond back. He just sits there for a minute his eyes boaring into mine.
After a billion years he simply just says, "Okay." Turning his head away and sitting back.
"Okay?" I pause in confusion. "T-that's it?"
"Well there is no point in arguing with you." He shrugs. "And since I'm not going, I'm just going to keep the mask so you don't pair with anyone else." He adds taking a sip of his juice.
"Okay..." I say
"But seriously when is it?" He asks
"It's this Saturday." I respond taking his orange juice and taking a sip from it as well.
"But today's Thursday." He chuckles and shakes his head. "And my guess is that you don't even have a dress ready."
I scoff. "What makes you think that? Of course I have my dress ready."
"Oh yeah? What color is it?" He smirks amused.
"Uh well its this, you know." I say waving my hands around. He just nods his head with that stupid smirk plastered on his face. "Its red. This awesome looking ruby red." I blurt out.
"Oh how nice, well I hope I get to see pictures of you in that ruby red dress." He mocks inching closer. My heart starts to pump rapidly against my chest like it wanted to break free from my ribcage.
"A-and you will!" I stutter slipping out of the bed. "I'm just going to go get my camera ready then."
He smirks at my reaction."Good."
"Good." I say as I stride to the exit. "I'll call you." I wave, my back turned to him.
"See yah!" He chimes the same smug grin on his face.
-----------------------------"Look. It has to be red." I plead the attendant.
"I'm sorry miss but this dress only comes in black and white." She argues lifting the dress.
