Cole's pov:
This is the worst.
Worst than being treated by the dentist.
Worst than falling down a flight of stairs full of nails.
At this very moment I might as well be dead. The pain and numbness I feel battle for dominance as I lay down, in a bed. Whispers and unfamiliar voices surround me.
Is this a dream? No, thats crazy. This pain can't possibly be felt in a dream, right?
"We need to cu-"
"Doctor he is-"
The beeping of the monitor rings in my ears. The sound of the voices making me dizzy all over again. Where am I?
I try to open my lids but the beam of light blinds me. Immeadiatly my eyes close. Now the throbbing is getting worse by the second. What is wrong with me? I need to get out of this place. But before I can move a muscle I feel a slight pinch is felt on my arm. And without warning I lose consciousness.
------------------------"Okay so I have this friend, who is dating his sister's best friend. And the sister doesn't know. D-do you think the sister will get mad if she finds out?" Jonathen asks eyes fixed on his plate.
After the whole Cole incident, Jonathen came home and then my dad shortly after. We were now at the dinner table eating when Jonathen broke the silence.
"What friend?" My dad asks chewing on his meat vigorously."T-hat doesn't matter." Jonathen stutters trying to wave it off. He looks up at me nervously. A tint of pink evident on his face. "So?"
I clear my throat confused on what he was trying to say, and what it meant. "Well, um. I guess she shouldn't be mad because in the end it is her brother and her friend. And she should love them no matter what." I chuckle shaking my head and add. "Wow that sounded really cliche."
"Right! Exactly. Agreed, I agree!" He exclaims loudly laughing a bit.
My phone vibrates on the table next to me. The caller ID read Jackass. (Which was short for Sean.)
I excuse myself and walk to the other end of the kitchen out of Jon and dad's sight.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Is Cole with you?" Sean bursts breathing heavily.
"Well hello to you too" I respond sarcastically.
"Is he with you or not?!"
I scrunch up my nose at his attitude. "No. Why are you panting so hard?"
"I've been searching for an hour. He isn't answering his phone and I called his house but no one picked up. I called him about an hour ago asking him to meet me at my house but he hasn't shown up.. I'm afraid that dumbass is getting in trouble because he seemed to be in a faul mood earlier."
"H-he isn't that stupid" I reassure myself more than him.
"You don't happen to know why he was like that do you?" He taunts
"No of course n-not." I stutter uneasy about all this. "Maybe you should try his mom's cell or Thea." I suggest
"Alright I'll try." He says
"Okay, just. Call me back if anything." I hang up and stick my phone in my back pocket.
I couldn't seem to calm myself down at this point. I take deep breathes as an unsettling feeling starts to well up inside of me.
Could he be lost? Hurt? We left in such bad terms did he just take off?
"Yvette, honey. Is everything okay?" I hear my dad shout from the other room.
"Y-yeah. Everything's fine!" I stammer back.
After dinner dad went to bed, and Jon and I stayed back to clean up.
"What do you mean he didn't respond?" Jonathen asks placing the dirty dishes in the sink. "He always carries his phone. Its just as precious Angelina Jolie. His car." He snickers.
"Yeah bu-"
"I'm sure he's fine. He is probably flirting with some girl on the streets." He says trying to lighten the mood.
I huff scrubbing on the dish much harder now. Images of Cole's abnoxios smirk and remarks invade my head. "You're probably right. Huh. He's probably having the time of his life." I grumble.
"U-uh easy there. What did that plate do to you?" He says pushing me a side. "Let me."
I sigh. Its been about an hour and Sean hasn't called me back. He probably found him fooling around somewhere. So I guess there shouldnt be anything to worry about, but I can't seem to let go of this unsettling feeling.
I dismiss myself from Jon and head upstairs to my room. I set my phone down on the dresser and grab my clothes to shower. But at that moment my phone vibrates on the counter moving from side to side.
Its Sean. I quickly answer the phone.
"Sean. Hey did you find him?" I ask
"Yeah.. He." He chokes on his words like he has been crying. "He got into an accident and doctors are trying to wake him up-"
My mind goes blank. The world freezes and my heary drops. Accident? No that can't be.
"What hospital?!"
