On the other hand, it was also a childish punishment that didn't bring any fruitful outcomes that may make the situation better. If anything, the silent treatment often harmed whatever relationships were created because that was mostly the start of an argument.
This did not deter Maggie. She sat quite stoically near the warm flame of the fire, resuming her role as weapon maker and distributor. She still had many people wishing for particular weapons that suited them. She was carving an arrow now, the first of many, to be accompanied with a bow for the delinquent named Jordan Hash. She wasn't really anything special. If anything, she was actually quite annoying, to be honest.
She finished the shaft of the arrow, the wood narrow and perfectly sanded smooth. She put on the piece of cloth she had next to her, getting started on the point. Now here was a dilemma. She didn't know how to make a stone arrowhead. She had only ever worked with metal, but now that she was on Earth, she supposed she'd have to improvise a little. So she began her experimentations.
Some way into them, Jasper paid her a small visit by giving her some water and a piece of fruit. She was grateful. The Earth was starting to heat up after the rain. She nodded at him thankfully. He just grinned back and walked away. She bit the fruit as he went back to his task with rationing, eating some of the food in between. Maggie smiled slightly as she turned back to her experiments. The stone that she had found was mildly triangular already, she just needed to do all the necessary grooves and refinements.
After she began sweating on her forehead and after she had delivered a ready-made knife to a delinquent, Maggi made her way over to the drop ship where she was ninety-nine percent sure that Octavia already was, begging her brother to see the Grounder again. She approached it, tools and stone in hand as well as the shaft of the arrow. She stopped just outside the drop ship when she heard the two Blake's in heated conversation.
"...connection you think you have with that animal, forget it," the male Blake spat. "You don't get to see him. End of conversation."
Maggie stood outside awkwardly yet intrigued as Octavia retorted, "Why do you even care if I ruined your life? You should want me to go up there. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll kill me. Problem solved."
The older girl winced. She had heard about the fight the two of them had with Bellamy saying some not-so-nice choice words to his sister. She continued to listen.
"Octavia, you know I didn't mean that."
A head of blonde hair passed by Maggie as Clarke gave her another look. Maggie rolled her eyes and groaned.
