𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐍. Clarke bloody Griffin had gotten to the camp. Well, she was dragged more or less, but she was still in the camp. She had her mom taking care of her now, which was all she ever wanted.

Abby tenderly stroked her daughter's hair. "I need saline and a pressure dressing."

"I'm on it," the dutiful assistant, Jackson, replied.

"Okay, honey..."

"I saw your ship crash," Clarke whispered.

Abby gave a small smile. "I wasn't on it. I'm right here." Jackson handed Abby the dressing, and the woman held it to the wound on her daughter's neck. She winced when the material met the raw skin.

Byrne entered the medical tent. She had been one of the ones that dragged Clarke in. She looked remorseful. "Is she all right?"

"She will be," Abby replied shortly, barley sparing Byrne a glance.

"I'm sorry, ma'am. We had no idea who she was." The guard turned to the girl. "Where have you been?"

"Byrne," Abby warned. Clarke answered anyway.

"Mount Weather."

All activity paused for a split second before resuming. Byrne blinked. "The Grounders took you to Mount Weather?"

"No. The Mountain Men." Clarke sat up. "We have to get them out."

"We're not doing this right now," Abby told Byrne, giving a clear indication that she wanted the guard to leave.

"Yes, ma'am," Byrne replied reluctantly, leaving like a toddler would leave the cookie jar alone.

Abby gave Jackson a nod who gave the same gesture and left the tent, and turned to her daughter, her eyes flooding with love. "Okay..."

"Mom." Clarke's voice was close to disappearing. "Did anyone else make it here?"

Abby did not hesitate. "Yes. Six of you did."

Clarke turned hopeful. "Finn and Bellamy?"

Abby nodded.

Clarke could have sworn her heart just cried out in relief. She kept her promise to Maggie. She found Bellamy. She found him and he was alive.

Clarke felt tears come to her eyes. "I thought they were dead." Her face screwed up and her voice broke. "I thought you were dead."

The dam broke, and Clarke finally gave in to the fear, sadness, stress and relief that had been coursing through her veins these past few days. She cried like a child who had had a nightmare, running into her mother's arms for protection. Abby cupped her daughter's soiled and blood-caked cheeks in her hands.
