"𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐌?" Monty asked his best friend. Ever since Maggie and Clarke had gone missing, the tension between the two of the boys had heightened.

"Yes, I believe him," Jasper replied strongly. "Clarke left us, Monty. She faked being crazy to get into Medical and took off. Maggie must've joined her."

"Maggie and Clarke weren't on the best of terms, what do you mean Maggie must've joined her? We need to go after them."

The two sensed a presence behind them, and they turned to see Maya shyly stepping into the room. Monty's face turned into a very calmly irritated expression.

He stalked to his side of the bed. Jasper noticed this and sighed. "Where are you going?"

"The drop ship, for starters." Monty lifted a bag onto the bed.

"I just heard," Maya voiced, standing next to Jasper. "You're leaving?"

"Yeah, we are," Monty confirmed.

Jasper disagreed. "No, we're not."

Monty halted his packing for a moment. "What would Clarke and Maggie do?" That shut Jasper up.

"No, you can't," Maya warned. "It's too dangerous."

"Don't worry," Jasper tried to smile at her. "I'm a coward."

Maya shook her head. "You're not. You're smart. You can't make them come back."

"Monty's right. They'd both go after me, but why am I so scared to do the same thing?" Jasper quickly glanced at Monty who was still packing his bag before looking back at Maya.

He did a double take. "Whoa. What?"

She looked like she was getting sunburnt whilst still being in the room that had no sun coming in or out in any way. It must've caused some discomfort, because Maya noticed it.

"Radiation." As soon as she said that, alarms began blaring around them, halting the Asian boy from continued to pack and making the brunette boy widen his eyes. "There's a containment breach." Her face started to get worse, as though it was cracking.

"How?" Jasper asked, frightened.

"I don't know," the girl cried, going for the door only to find that her card wasn't working. She began yelping in pain, the radiation seeping in like water through stones.

"What do we do?" Monty asked frantically. Maya cried out again.

"Help!" She tried the other door, and the two boys only briefly saw her hand, it was blistered and red, but that was nothing to her face when she turned around. They had to take a step back.
