𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐀 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍. He never gave any girls the time of day other than taking them to bed and then kicking them back out. But with Magnolia in his arms, sleeping soundly next to him, he found himself overcome with affection. He ran his fingers up and down the woman's arm as she lay on her side, her slow breaths rushing over his bare chest. He looked down at her with something swirling in his chest. He knew that he had this connection with her, but he didn't know if it was love or if she felt the same. Let's just say that Bellamy Blake was pining over a woman, something he had never done before. But he couldn't help it.
Maybe it was her eyes that first drew him in. The grey rounds that blinked innocently up at him whenever she did something wrong or glinted when she got happy or excited. Maybe it was her smile, the decoration that just naturally floated onto her face as a resting face. He hoped that she never lost the smile that he could stare at for hours. Maybe it was her gentle touch that cupped his soul and beckoned him close to her body heat, making the cold depths of his heart thaw and melt away. She had an effect on him that no other woman did, and he didn't know what to do about it.
The tent flap was thrown open, and Bellamy started, pulling the blanket closer around the woman's back. The brunette stirred slightly but didn't wake up. The man turned to throw daggers at the blonde girl's face.
"What do you want, princess?" He kept his voice low, resuming his tracing on her arm. He connected the freckles again.
Clarke made no move to apologise but did drop her volume. "Finn's set up a meeting with the Grounders. I'm leaving to go talk to them."
Bellamy scoffed. "Because you think that impaling people on spears if code for 'let's be friends'? Have you lost your damn mind?"
She shrugged. "I think it might be worth a shot. I mean, we do have to live with these people."
"They'll probably gut you, string you up as a warning," the raven-haired boy deadpanned. The blonde rolled her eyes.
"Well, that's why I'm here. I need you to follow us, be our backup."
He considered this. "Does Finn know about this?"
She was already halfway out the tent. "Finn doesn't need to know, and, Bellamy, bring guns." Her eyes strayed to the woman beside him. She jerked her chin in her direction. "You should tell her how you feel. You never know."
"I don't need relationship advice from you, thank you very much," he snapped. Clarke raised her hands in mock surrender.
"Fine, fine. Don't come crying to me when she falls for someone else because she got tired of waiting for you." She finally left, and Bellamy sighed, getting ready to follow the headstrong Griffin girl. When he did, he got out of the bed slowly as so not to wake up the sleeping angel. He then crept around the tent, throwing on clothes and tidying up. He folded hers and placed them next to her side of the bed. He then brushed a strand of hair out of her face and pressed a gentle kiss to her temple. She hummed in her sleep, smiling. He did the same, realising that he was so whipped for his best friend. Surprisingly, he didn't mind. He liked this feeling. He quietly exited the tent, stealing another glance to see her hugging his pillow close to her face.
