"𝐌𝐘 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒," the Chancellor's voice crackled over the monitor, "this is a historic day. Every year we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground." Applause came from all around him, just not from the people on the ground.

"Right," Miller said sarcastically. "After we did all the work." Maggie nodded agreement.

Thankfully, she had taken a small break after she did a total of three arrows as well as a bow, pulling a couple all-nighters as well to get it done. In the end, she just gave up and stuck to making bladed weapons instead. Seems like arrows and bows were not her thing, and Jordan was not happy, but she sulked elsewhere.

"Someone shut him up," the dark delinquent smirked.

"You shut up, Miller," Raven snapped. "No one's forcing you to watch."

In the end, Maggie had had enough, walking around camp having short conversations with delinquents that continued to work all around her. Even on Unity Day, things still had to be done in order for them to stay safe and ready for anything.

Jasper came out of Monty's tent with his goggles on his head, a smile on his face, and a metal canister in his hands. He claimed it was Unity Juice, another batch of Monty's moonshine. Immediately, alcoholic delinquents flocked around him, holding out their bottles that previously held water rather than spirits.

Nightfall came, and everyone, save for a few sensible members of the camp, were hopped up and flat out drunk on the alcohol. Maggie was standing near the Blake man, yanking the apple he was eating from his hand and taking a bite. He stared at her with incredulity.

"That's disgusting," he deadpanned. "I could have a disease that you could get now."

"Oh please, it's not like we haven't share saliva before," she winked. Bellamy sighed and shut his eyes, dropping his head.

"Touche." He then smirked. "Does that mean you enjoy this contract we've got going on?"

Maggie chuckled. "The friends-with-benefits contract that lasts until the drop ships come down? You bet I enjoy it."

He laughed loudly, genuine joy covering his face, making the corners of his eyes scrunch. She liked that about him. He let himself be happy sometimes, and that was enough for the moment.

A familiar head of blonde hair approached them, and Maggie dropped her eyes. She was still a bit miffed with Clarke about the whole ordeal, but she was growing more comfortable.

"Hey," she greeted. "The comms are still dead. They cut out during the pageant." She put her hands in her pockets.

"Best Unity Day every."
