Atherelle's POV
Laughter
"You didn't tell me it was Gaviel." I spat at Clarissa when I visited her again.
She just laughs at me as she continues pressing her phone. Parang wala siyang naririnig sa akin kakapindot sa cellphone niya.
"So, I guess, I came here for nothing, huh?" I hissed.
Seconds later, I heard the words 'shut down' coming from her phone. Her hero got slain kaya tiningnan niya na rin ako nang nakangisi.
"You know your ex is a doctor," she said simply and look at her phone again.
"Yeah, I just knew he's a doctor but didn't know what kind of doctor he is." I reasoned out.
"You're making it a big deal, Zed. Sobrang nakakagulat ba malamang dentist ang ex?" mapang-asar niyang saad.
Hindi nalang ako nagsalita dahil kahit anong sabihin ko mang-aasar pa rin siya. I am not making it a big deal, I'm just not comfortable because if it wasn't Gaviel, that won't happen.
I didn't stay longer there not because I am avoiding Clarissa's teases but because my secretary called. Someone is reaching out to me for a project so I messaged Odette to meet me personally to talk about it.
"Nood ka ng live stream ko mamaya, Zed. Mamayang 10PM." paalala ni Clarissa sa akin na tinanguan ko.
After I sent the address to Odette, I left the base camp and drove to Starbucks. My secretary was already there when I arrived. I took a sit in front of her and ordered drinks for us.
"I'm sure you already knew Mr. Gardner." panimula ng sekretarya ko.
I nodded. He's a successful businessman that has many branches worldwide. Gaviel's former boss.
"He wants you to design a milktea shop that he's planning to build. Naitawag ko na nga pala kay Mr. Dale ang tungkol dito at sabi naman niya na wala pang project doon kaya pwede natin tanggapin ito." she continued.
She gets a card inside her clutch and put it above the table. "Calling card niya po, Architect."
I get the card to keep it. It was a short talk with Odette, and I go home after. I have decided to accept the offer while I'm still here. Tinawagan ko iyong calling card at agad naman na nag set ng appointment si Mr. Gardner para roon.
That's what I did before opening my phone to watch Clarissa's live stream. Just like a normal streamer, Clarissa talked a lot. Kahit anu-ano lang naman. Well, being a streamer suits her better because she's so chatty.
"Oh anyway, shout out to my best friend." she waved her hand cutely "Hi, there, architect. Good luck on flirting with your dentist." she slightly giggled.
I rolled my eyes and just watch her live stream. Malapit na matapos ang laro niya nang may maalala ako. She said Gaviel is a streamer. I can't imagine him live streaming and say the words "umay mga lodi" or "awit lods" kapag natatalo na.
Napangiwi ako sa mga iniisip ko. Gaviel is too serious to be a streamer. All I can imagine from him is just playing mobile legends like he isn't streaming. Parang wala lang, tahimik lang kahit talo na.
To cure my curiosity, I called Clarissa after her live stream to ask for Gaviel's page. She told me the name at may pahabol pang pang-aasar.
"Curious sa ex? Naku! Hindi 'yan maganda, Atherelle Zedi. Sinasabi ko sa 'yo na baka may bumalik." I can even hear her giggles from the other line.
