Y/n's POV
The sun once again shines through the window hitting me in the face, I awaken, feeling something around me. I look under the covers to see arms around me, the I remember that I fell asleep last night and Karl must have as well.
I'm laying on my side facing the wall so I can't reach my phone. Karl moves his head and I can feel his breath on my neck, normally I would be annoyed by this but I find it soothing. Minutes later I feel him awaken and he moves one arm to grab his phone. "It's 6," he says, I role over and our eyes meet, I'm still tired so I grab his arm and role over placing his arm back where it was.
I bring my legs up so am curled up more than when I woke up. Karl hugs up super close to me and his head on my back now, "you comfy?" He says. His voice is low and raspy
"ya, I'm comfy," I say in response to him.
We lay there for a few hours just having small conversations every once and a while about random stuff, then I remember I never told my mom he was here. "Hey can you hand me my phone?" I ask, he roles over a little and grabs my phone then gives it to me. The screen reads 'mom:4 messages, Chris:3 messages'
I unlock my phone in hopes she's not mad and Chris is ok. I open my moms contact 'I'm home' is the first one she sent 'who's here with you? They left there shoes by the door' 'you still alive? I can hear your tv upstairs' and the last one she sent was 'if your going to ignore me I'm going to bed, don't do anything you will regret in there' I quickly type 'oh sorry when you texted we had already fell asleep, glad you made it home safe,' I send it. I go over to Chris's contact.
The first message reads 'sooo, how'd it go?' Then 'I hope you two made it back ok' and last was 'I'm guessing your asleep so get back to me in the morning' "everything ok?" Karl askes from behind me, I almost forgot he was there.
" ya my mom texted after we fell asleep so I had to text her, also Chris is asking a million questions about last night," i type out to Chris 'every this was perfect and we even ended up falling asleep at my place so it's a win win,' and instantly you see him typing
'omg, how did you manage that?!?' He typed out and sends. I respond with 'well we went to my room and watched gravity falls but I ended up falling asleep, I guess Karl didn't want to move and wake me so he went to sleep as well, and here we are,'
Chris dosent answer for a while, then sends 'he still there?' 'Ya he's still here,' I send in response 'proof!' He sends. I hear Karl giggle from behind me, he was reading our texts I guess. I pull up my camera and snap a pic of us together laying and cuddling and send it to Chris. 'Holy heck,' he says with a surprised face emoji.
Tw: blood
We get out of bed and go downstairs, karl sits on the couch and I go to the kitchen to find something to eat, I look in the fridge and see strawberries, I get them out and grab a knive and cutting bord and begin to cut up the strawberries
Karl's pov
I hear the kitchen tap turn on then "Karl," I look up to see pain in y/n's eyes. My stomach sinks and she continues with her sentence "I need you to go into that bathroom and in the closet there is a big clear box, an I need you to grab it and bring it to me," she says as tears begin to run down her face
"what happened?" I ask worried.
"JUST GET TH DAMN BOX KARL!" She yells out and I run to grab it. I get back to the kitchen. " I hope your not scared of blood because there's about to be a lot of it," she says. I look down and she's holding her right hand under the water, I see blood but no source of it. "Ok I need you to be ready to catch me or something because I don't know what's about to happen," she says. I rap my alarms around her and she opens the box I had brung out to her. She gets out a few things and takes a deep breath. She takes her and out of the water and puts a handful of banding over it. "Ok, now we wait," she says trying to stop crying.
"Take my phone out of my pocket and text Chris, the password is 8315. Tell him that we have to go to the hospital and that I'm ok, also text my mom the same," she begans to take off the stuff on her hand and the blood had slowed down by a lot. I text Chris and her mom and look up, there's more bandages taped to her hand and she grabs extra then walk over to the front door, slipping on flip flops. "now what," I say confused
"drive me to the emergency room," she says still in visible pain.
We get into my car and begin driving to the ER, I ask her for the first time "what even happened?" She looks up at me and says
"I was cutting up strawberries and the knife slid against my hand and it cut me, and it's deep," the rest of the dive is quite but the hole time she's texting Chris and her mom. Makes sense there probably worried.
We arrive to the ER and we walk in. " hello how can we help you today," a nurse walk up and asks us.
"My hand, it needs stitch's," y/n hold out her hand and pulls up the tape to show her the cut in the centerfold her palm.
"oh my, yes we can get that taken car of, right this way," the lady starts to walk and we follow behind her. We get to a line of chairs with tables and equipment, "have a seat here and the doctor will be with you shortly," the lady turns and walk away as me and y/n sit in the small curtained area.
