Time skip to the fair
Y/n's POV
We arrive at the fair, I can see a few of the bigger rides and hear the music playing as we walk up to the entrance. "3 wristbands please," Karl steps up to the ticket booth, seconds later he turns around and holds up the wristbands, he helps me put mine on, and I help him and Nick then we go inside.
The smell of fresh popcorn and lemonade fills the air as we walk around looking for a ride to start with. "Let's go on zero gravity," I point to the ride and grab Karl's hand, pulling him with me.
"guys wait up," Nick starts following us. We get into the line, it's not super long so we should be the next group on, the ride starts and goes for about 1 minute, then slows to a stop. I squeeze Karl's hand as the people get off and people from the line start to get on.
We get into the ride and pick a spot with 3 spaces for the 3 of us, Nick on my left and Karl on my right. I feel eyes on me, but it's not Karl, or Nick, it's probably just some random kid looking at me. There rides gait closes and starts moving slowly, spending up as the seconds pass, I start to feel like I'm floating and I get pined to the wall.
Soon the ride slows and I feel my feet on the floor, "that was fun, it felt like I was floating," Karl giggles and holds my hand again, we all walk of the ride and then I feel someone tap my arm so I turn and see 2 14 ish year old girls standing next to me. "H-hi, can we get a picture with you?" One of them asks holding out her phone
"Of course, here Karl can you take it?" I say exited to meet some of my fans. Karl nods and grabs the girls phone with a big smile, Nick steps off to the side and I smile for the picture.
Karl hand the girl her phone, "omg thank you so much," the girl says with the biggest smile ever.
" it's no problem, have an amazing day," the girls hug me for a few seconds then run off somewhere and shows there other friends. I giggle, "that was so cute," I lean back against Karl, he wraps his arms around me
"I know, it's always fun to meet fans,"
We start to walk again and I feel someone grab my shoulders then I hear Chris "I knew I saw you here,"
I jump and turn around quickly "you scared the shit out of me, don't do that!" I shove him jokingly.
We all stand and talk for a while, "so what are you 3 doing here?" Chris finally asks. "Oh just having fun before Nick has to leave," Karl says sadly
"oh that's no fun, hope the drive is well man," he pats Nicks back
"Ya, it normally goes faster than expected, even though its 2 days," he laughs and we all join in. The 4 of us ride rides for a hour until we are about to leave
Tw this about to get ugly
We start to walk to the exit when I feel a hand pull me back by my shoulder, I turn around along with everyone else. Chris steps forward and I turn to see my ex standing infront of me "listen man we have told you 1,000 times to leave her be," Chris try's to stop the situation.
My ex, Jace, looks at Chris then at me befor saying "I love you, y/n, and I won't you back, please,"
I look up at Karl and back to him. "Oh so your going to play that game, just go the hell away before I blow up at you, I really don't want you in my life just when it's started to finally turn around,"
"No,y/n, you don't understand," he says and grabs my waist
I push him off of me. "No I do, your going to say you love me again just to turn around and burn me and my self confidence to ash, just as you did on this exact day 4 years ago, and I'm not falling for it. I'm happily with someone else FINALlY and I don't have to constantly fear of getting hit or pushed against a wall so hard I get brushes. Man right when my life starts to get better," I feel my eyes start to tear up but I hold back and try to stay strong.
"Y/n, please, I promise I have changed." His words sting me, I reach up and slap him and he falls to the ground.
"Go. To. Hell," I say and start walking away, I hear 3 people following me.
Karl calls out "holy honk, that was badass," he grabs my hand.
"Ya it's kinda my thing," I say trying not to sound pissed off.
Nick says something but I'm to focused on not crying that I don't hear it. "HELLO, don't ignore me. Who even was that?" I snap out of it.
"Oh, he's my ex. He was abusive and did lots of bad things to me," I say as the bad memories start flowing back.
"Does anyone have something I can tare up?" I look up at the 3 guys and ask. "No, but I can drive you 3 back to Karl's if you want, you probably don't want to walk this last at night," Chris suggests. "Ya sure, Nick you can have shotgun" I look over at him and he smiles.(tw over)
We get in the car and the ride is mostly silent until "hey are you alright by the way?" Karl reaches over and puts his hand on my thigh, sending butterflies to my stomach.
"No not really if I'm being completely honest," I look down and shake my head then lean into my window, still trying not to cry.We get to Karl's and go inside
Karl's pov
We get inside and take off our shoes. I walk over and plop down on the couch, "hey ima go change, I'll be back," Nick walks into his room and closes the door. Y/n sits facing me on my lap and buries her head into my shoulder, her arms around my neck. "Hey your alright," I rub her back, I hear her cry a little and she shakes her head.
I hold her tightly and try to comfort her, I've never been in a situation like this so I don't really know how to comfort her but I try my best. I keep rubbing her back.
she hugs me tighter "I can't with him anymore," she says quietly and shakes her head again.
"Any time my life starts to get better he always shows up and ruins it," she sits up and looks at me
I wipe the tears from her cheeks "it's alright, your going to be alright," I pull her back into a hug and squeeze her a little tightly. I hear Nicks door open and close, then a few seconds later I hear foot steps and then he sits dow next to me.
"Hey, it alright I promise, I know it sucks, I know, but you have to be the badass you are and power through it alright," he says and rubs her back some. She looks up at him and nods, wipes her face, and takes a deep breath. He stands up pulling her up with him, and they hug for a little while.
After that y/n and I go up to my room and she plops down on my bed. I walk over to my closet and grab a fresh hoodie for her to wear, she grabs it then stands up. She takes off her top and grabs the hoodie to put it on, I feel my face get hot and I get butterflies. She giggles and puts the hoodie over her head.
I lean down a little and kiss her forehead, she giggles, "I know your blushing," she wraps her arms around me
"you got me, I also got butterflies," I admit and wrap my arms around her putting my chin on top of her head.
She lets go of me and starts taking out her hair "can you grab my brush off the bathroom counter please," she looks up with a smile.
"ya," I turn and walk out of the room, into the bathroom and grab her brush.
"Thanks," she finishes taking out her braids, I reach forward and turn her around gently. I brush through her hair and I hear her giggle, "Karl, I love you," she giggles.
I hug her around the waist "I love you too," I whisper into her ear.
I stop hugging her and she walks to the closet "I'm going to go finish changing," she grabs the brush out of my hands and walks out of the room. I start to change but before I can get my shirt on I hear the door open.
I turn around and see her smiling in the doorway, "handsome," she smirks and sits down on my bed looking at me.
I walk up to her "What are you looking at?" I tickle her and she giggles
"no!" She keeps giggling. After I stop she stands up, gets on her top toes, then kisses me softly, it sends butterflies through me with every kiss.
After a while she sits back down slowly laying back on my bed, I shake my head dramatically and walk back over to my closet. "Karl, leave it off, please," she says and giggles.
I turn around and giggle "really?" I question her.
"Of course, get your ass over here and cuddle me," she holds her arms out towards me and closes her eyes, making me laugh.
I plop down next to her and she puts her head and arm on my chest, my arm around her, "your warm," she scoots closer to me cutely and puts her leg over mine.
I move her hair behind her ear, "Goodnight, I love you," I say it quietly as I'm close to her ear
"I love you too," she whispers and I feel her relax into me slowly, her arm goes closer to her face covering her lips, and her eyes close slowly," I aww quietly and rub her back slightly.
I pull the blanket up so it's covering her shoulders and rub her head, Nick walks in and I look up at him. "Aww," he says quiet enough for me to hear it.
I whisper "she just fell asleep," and I look back down quietly as she moves a little, making a little noise.
