Y/n's POV
"We are like 5 minutes away so don't start the fun without us," Karl says on the phone with dean ( a/n, not actually Karl's friend I just made up a name bc I didn't know what else to do haha) letting him know not to do anything without us.
I start to get really excited but nervous about meeting new people, I'm not a super social person to be completely honest. I crack my knuckles to release some of my tension.
A few seconds of silence fills the car as the song switches, the next song is I Think I'm In Love, and old song I don't really listen to anymore. "Hey, I remember this song, I haven't listened to it in like 2 years though," Karl points at my phone and says with a big smile.
We pull up to a house and pull into the driveway. The house is big and long and I can tell there's a huge pool out back because I can hear the water filter from outside my open car window. "Alright, let's go before they start without us," Karl pats my knee and opens his door and meets me on my side of the car.
We walk up to the door and Karl knocks. There's a quick answer, the door swings open "Hey Karl, how have you been?" A man calls out and hugs Karl, I look down to avoid him noticing me or asking questions.
"Amazing, how about you man?" I hear Karl call out. They talk for a while and then we go inside. I take off the shoes and follow behind Karl and the man as they walk down a hallway.
We walk into a huge room, the ceiling is as high as 30 feet and the room is spotless. Karl and the man sit down on the couch with 2 other people, I sit down next to Karl, staying silent. "Oh, where are my manners, hi I'm Dean." He reaches his hand out to me.
I reach my hand out and shake his, "I'm y/n," I say quietly.
"Oh come on y/n, don't be so shy ok, your gonna be alright," Karl puts his arm around me and rubs my arm. I look up and Karl and he has a huge smile across his face, it comforts me. I smile back and nod, then rest my head on his shoulder.
"Oh so this is the famous y/n you have been telling us about," Dean calls out
"Ya, actually she is," Karl proudly says in response.
"I-I'm not famous," I say quietly
Karl giggles "it's a figure of speech," I roll my eyes and sit back agents the couch, Karl following my move close behind to put his arm around me again. The group talks for about 20 minutes before suggesting we get ready to go swimming. The other girl sands up and walks over to me, grabbing my wrist and dragging me behind her.
We go into a bathroom and she turns to me. "Hi I'm Alissa," she smiles
"So you drug me from the couch into a bathroom to introduce yourself?" I look at her with a serious face
"Oh, I didn't release how weird that was, sorry. I did that because I felt like it would have been weird if you had to change with them or something so I bring you here with me so it wasn't weird," Alissa says quickly. She talks a lot.
"Well, I'm y/n, and I'm 21. I'm not social vary much but I can make exceptions," I look around a little.
"Oh, I'm 19 and super social, I'm Deans sister, Dean is 23 by the way," I nod slowly trying not to seem bored. A few seconds of silence goes by and she starts talking again "how old is Karl again, I think Dean told me but I don't remember,"
"oh, Karl's 23," we talk for another 2 minutes.
"If you don't mind I'm going to change now so," she walks around the corner with her clothes. I take off my shirt and shorts while she's not looking. She walks around the corner warring a one piece suit with palm trees and a sun set on it.
Her eyes widen "are you ok, like do you even eat. How are you that skinny,"
I cover my stomach with my arms "I do eat but I have an extremely fast Metabolism so I don't really gane weight," the words she says echo in my head like sirens and I feel super insecure. "Can we please just drop it, I don't really like how skinny I am and I'm insecure about it,"
she cuts me off "oh, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said anything," I turn around and walk out of the room.
Karl's POV
Alissa and y/n walk outside together. Y/n smiles at me, her bright blue eyes glistening in the sun. She's wearing a purple top that has straps but also goes off her shoulders, the bottoms are the same shade of as her top. I can feel as my heart races and my face goes hot. Her skinny figure is shaped in an hour glass shape. She walks over and sits down in the grass next to me "your blushing Karl," she giggles.
I cover my face with my hands "I know!" I shout and lay back on the ground. Once I feel my face cool off I sit back up. Dean and Alex walk outside and put sunscreen and towels in the shade. Y/n stands up and walks over grabbing a towel off the stack and lays it out in the sun, then starts putting on sunscreen.
I join her and put some on too, I don't feel like dealing with sunburn. "Hey Karl can you get my back please," y/n hands me the bottle of sunscreen.
"Ya, of course," she turns around and I put the sunscreen on her back. She does the same for me.
Dean, Alex, and Alissa already got in the pool. Y/n walks over to the grass and sits down. "Y/n come on, let's get in," I walk over and point to the deep end of the pool.
"I think I will stay here for a little bit," she covers the sun with her hand
"Oh come on," I put my hand out, she rolls her eyes and grabs my hand. I pull her to her feet and pick her up
"KARL NOOO," she screams. I walk over to the deep end of the pool "KARL," she screams again and I start to laugh. I put her down and she punches my arm. "You asshole," she laughs.
After a while I finally get y/n into the pool. We swim for a while until eventually y/n come up behind me and wraps her arms around my shoulders. I giggle and she wraps her legs around my waist. I walk around a little and she hangs on. At this point the water is starts to worm up more from the sun so it's not as cold and before.
"Awww aren't you two so cute," Alex calls out from the other side of the pool
"Oh shut it," y/n calls out
"Come on Karl, I've never seen you do something like that with a girl, you two have to be dating right," Dean calls out as well.
"No, we are just really close," I say nervously. Even though I have a huge crush on her I don't know if she feels the same way, so I don't want to make things awkward between us. We are already closer than I though we would ever be and I don't want to ruin it if it's the closest thing to a relationship we will ever have.
A few hours pass and we get out to eat. Y/n wraps her towel around herself and smiles. "It's warm," she says with and adorable voice. I walk up behind her with my towel around me and put my arms around her shoulders.
"Oh god it is warm," I feel as the hot towel presses against my skin. It's not hot enough to burn you but hot enough to keep you worm.
We eat lunch and sit outside for a little bit. Y/n lays on her towel in the grass, I walk over and sit down next to her. "Whatcha doin?" I ask because I'm bored out of my mind.
"Staying warm," she says and looks at me, she gets cold really easy so after getting out of the water she gets cold.
"You should put on more sunscreen so you don't get burnt, expressly since your laying directly in the sun."
A few seconds of silence falls between us "I know, I don't want to get up, I'm comfy," she says dramatically.
I stand up and grab her wrists, trying to pull her up off the ground "come on, get up," I get her up to her feet and we walk over and put on sunscreen.
Soon after we get back into the pool and swim around, splashing each other and just messing around.
She splashes me really hard and it hits me in the face, "heyyyy, chill ok," I try to act offended but I can tell she knows I'm joking. I go under the water and swim up behind her, just as I get behind her I jump out of the water and grab her waist from under the water.
I lift her up and she curls her legs up "Karllll, put me down," she wines
"Uhhhh I don't think so," I say seriously
"Karl you know I'm literally defenseless right now, please put me down," she lays her head back and it hits my shoulder.
"Fine," i squat down a little to put her back in the water.
After about 20 minutes Dean gets out of the pool. "Guys it's getting dark, let's go play games or something," he grabs his towel and starts drying off.
"Oh come on, don't you guys want to watch the sunset and look at the stars?" Y/n asks looking up at the sky and a beautiful look on her face.
"Eww that's boring," Alex says as he gets out of the pool.
Y/n turns and looks at me and her mouth wide open. "Ok y/n I will make you a deal, if you skip the sunset just this once I will come over and watch it with you another day," I rase my eyebrows at her.
"Sounds like a deal to me," she starts to walk over to the steps, I follow close behind.
We all dry off and change then go to the game room. There are dozens of games in here. "Alright, what does everyone want to play, we have almost everything so it doesn't matter," Dean goes over to a closet and opens it displaying a bunch of bored games.
Y/n's eyes light up and she smiles, "what about clue?" She questions pointing at the box in the cabinet.
"Sure," everyone in the room calls out at the same time. We all laugh and Dean gets the game.
We sit down at the game table and start to play.
Y/n wins 3 round in a row. "Ok you have to have some sort of strategy because there's no way," Alissa smacks her hands down on the table making y/n jump.
"I don't know but please don't do that," y/n leans towards me a little, I rub her back and we clean up clue, we play 3 other games before me and y/n leave and start the drive to her house.
We listen to music and I admire her little bits of singing, her voice is beautiful, I wish I could hear her sing more than just 2 lines of each song. Suddenly a song starts playing, I don't recognize it. Her eyes widen and she quickly skips the song, "what was that, I've never heard it before?" I look over at her and back to the road.
"oh it was nothing, just a song that brings back memories I don't want to remember is all," she cracks her knuckles nervously.
I reach over and place my hand on her thigh, "it's alright, I understand,"
The ride isn't much longer from then. I pull up to her house, she says goodbye, and goes inside waving with a smile as she does every time I drop her off. I drive home and get on my pc. I've been talking to Sapnap about what me and y/n do together, he is one of the only people that know about my crush on her.
Me and Sapnap talk for hours about what happened that day. I get a text, it's from y/n, it reads 'I think I'm going to stream on my own channel tomorrow, idk what it is I just feel like it, anyways I'm going to go to sleep. I'm exhausted from today. I will talk to you tomorrow!' I smile and tell Sapnap about her text.
He calls me, I answer "dude, you have to ask her out, even if she says no it's worth a try," he calls out the second the call connects.
"No chance, she's gonna say no, plus I don't want to ruin anything between us, if she says no things between us are sure to change. What we have now is as close to a relationship as it will get, and I don't want to ruin it," I say defeat in my voice.
"Ok fine, but did you text her back?" His voice calls out
"Shoot no, one sec," I panic and unlock my phone, I respond to her 'ok, sleep well cutie' I hesitate before sending it but send it anyway. Seconds later I get a response 'night handsome;)' I smile.
"What happened?!" Sapnap calls out before I get a change to say anything. I take a screenshot and send it to him. "Dude come on, can't you see how flirty she is, she's definitely into you," he turns on his camera and looks directly into it. I turn mine on and look into mine as well, we both laugh.
Me and Sapnap talk for a while but I start to get really tired. "Alright man, I think I'm going to head off to sleep, I'm getting pretty tired," I say into my mic and hope he's not upset.
"No problem man, sleep well," he says. Before I get the chance to say anything he hangs up the call and goes offline.
I shut down my pc and crawl into bed, the second my head hits the pillow I fall asleep
